Daisy’s Cars

Our Fanfiction page has been updated!

A lot of you have emailed asking about DukesFest 2005. Your best source for all the information for DukesFest and Dukes of Hazzard events is the home of DukesFest itself…Cooter’s Place! As of right now tho’ we know this: DUKESFEST 2005 will be June 4th & 5th at The Bristol Motor Speedway and Dragway in Bristol TN. So mark your calendars and check Cooter’s Place regularly for updates on special events and special guests!

Also, several of you have noticed while watching the second season DVD, that it seems like the episodes are out of order, giving that Daisy has her yellow Roadrunner in one episode, then her Jeep, then her Roadrunner again (and it goes off the cliff) then her Jeep again and then the Roadrunner again! LOL. Let’s see if MaryAnne can explain…

Waaall, it goes like this ya see: The order in which shows were filmed and in which order they aired is often different for a lot of tv shows. This could be because of a lot things, the biggest of which is availability of guest stars (ie, Loretta Lynn. I’m sure they had to work around her schedule to film the episode “Find Loretta Lynn”.) It also could be holding back episodes if one episode might be better suited for something such as Sweeps Week (such as “Find Loretta Lynn”) or for going head to head with some other program or movie of the week.

If it weren’t for Daisy’s change of vehicles and Rosco’s departure for five episodes, the seemingly out of order episodes wouldn’t seem so out of order. LOL.

So, yes the episodes are out of order in terms of being filmed, but are not out of order in terms of when they aired. So, no there is no error with your DVD set! =)

Dukes of Hazzard Season 3 on DVD

Told ya it was a big screamin’ deal. KHEE! =)

A huge thank ya to Dukes fan Charlie for the heads up on this! Tvshowsonline is reporting that the third season of the Dukes of Hazzard will be released at the end of May, just a few short weeks before the release of the big screen movie.

Not a whole lot of details yet but as soon as they know, we’ll know and we’ll pass it along here!

We’re at T-minus two days and countin’ for D-Day at CMT! Incidentally, have you checked out the new job position that CMT is looking to fill? Hmmm…..

Meanwhile, I’ve updated the FAQ page. LOL. Make sure y’all check it out and the news archive before you email us. Many questions asked as of late can be found very easily on the site here. That’s why it’s here. =) So please check those two pages first. Otherwise I’m gonna have to start cuffin’ and stuffin’ folks…. ROFL

Filming Wraps On Dukes Movie

Hi folks! MaryAnne here with this week’s top Dukes headlines….

First Dukes filming news….this piece is a bit dated as the filming has now wrapped but Cinema Confidential visited the set of the Dukes and spoke with Bill Gerber, the producer of the movie. A worthwhile read Dukes fans!

Second…as mentioned above, filming as wrapped on the Dukes of Hazzard. Jessica Simpson has left the state (to some folks relief apparently….)

The jet engines of Jessica’s Lear (I’m assuming she has a Lear) were barely cooled down when reported she would be joining with Willie Nelson on a duet for the Dukes sountrack (HNet Editorial: THIS should be interesting). However, they have not selected a song yet.

Here’s one final story on the filming of the Dukes. Folks, this is what they mean by being in the right place at the right time. Patrick White landed a one line shot in the Dukes film. (Link to story no longer works.) (HNet Editorial: We hope his part isn’t cut! Read on to find out why.)

Meanwhile, Tom Wopat is singing his little heart out in the “Over the Rainbow” concert series showcasing the songs of Harold Arlen.  As a listener of 30s/40s music, a lot of the titles I recognize. This stuff is a far cry from the “Where or Where Are You Tonight?” song from Hee Haw. =)

Don’t forget folks, we’re less than two weeks way from D-Day! February 25th, the Dukes of Hazzard returns to television on CMT! =) Make sure you check out the press release below if you haven’t already. Or maybe ya just wanna read it again. Khee!

We miss you, Boss

It was 11 years ago today that we lost Sorrell Booke, forever known to Dukes of Hazzard fans as Boss Hogg. We miss you, Boss!
