Tom Wopat

Tom Wopat was born on a dairy farm in Lodi, Wisconsin on September 9th 1951. From an early age, Tom showed that he had a gift for music. At the age of 12 he began his Broadway-bound career singing and dancing in musicals. When he was in college at the University of Wisconsin, he appeared in South Pacific, Jesus Christ, Superstar and West Side Story. He worked for two years at the Barn Theatre in Michigan before heading for the Big Apple for his try at Broadway. He made his Broadway debut in Cy Coleman’s I Love My Wife. In 1977, Tom received a script for The Dukes of Hazzard. He flew to Los Angeles to audition for the role of Luke Duke and the rest is television history. Since the show has ended, Tom has continued to have a musical career both on Broadway and in the music industry. Currently he is starring in Annie Get Your Gun with Bernadette Peters.
