Dukes of Hazzard is Back on TV!

Attention all Dukes of Hazzard fans! On January 5th, there’ll be a Dukes of Hazzard marathon on CMT starting at 2pm. The first episode will be People’s Choice. I’m not sure why they’re not starting with One Armed Bandits, but I won’t quibble since it’s been a long time coming in getting the show back on the air. After the marathon, Dukes of Hazzard will be on twice a day, noon and 8pm, on the days following. Unfortunately, both times will be the same episode. Tell all your Dukes of Hazzard loving friends that Dukes is back on the air!

Christmas With Tom Wopat

Join Tom Wopat for a Christmas you’ll never forget! Tom will be appearing at the Enid Symphony Hall in Enid, Oklahoma on November 30th and December 1st. This performance is part of a larger nationwide tour. Tom will be available after the performance to meet fans, sign autographs, and take photos with his fans. You can also purchase copies of his albums then, as well. Tickets are on sale at the Enid Symphony Hall.

After a long absence, HazzardNet fan of the month is back with a worthy recipient. Roth Potter joined HazzardNet in April of 2013 and already has over 500 posts, most notably the Rare and Behind the Scenes Pictures thread in our forums. Give me a hand in congratulating Roth Potter for being HazzardNet’s Fan of the Month for October 2013.

Hazzard County Dinner Theater

A friend of mine was in Tennessee last month and knowing me to be an avid Dukes fan, sent me several brochures of the Hazzard County Dinner Theater, located in Pigeon Forge. The Hazzard County Hoedown is a musical dinner show tribute to Dukes of Hazzard that features all the characters from the show, plus an all you can eat buffet that would make Boss Hogg proud. The menu includes: Daisy’s pot roast, pulled pork, fried chicken strips, corn, coleslaw, potato salad, bbq baked beans, mac n’ cheese, green bean casserole, banana pudding, and chocolate chip cookies. Hazzard Homecoming Texas Style

The cast of The Dukes of Hazzard will be in Ennis, Texas at the Galaxy Drive-In for Hazzard Homecoming Texas Style the weekend of October 19-20. Catherine Bach (Daisy Duke), Tom Wopat (Luke), Ben Jones (Cooter), James Best (Rosco P. Coltrane, y’all), Sonny Shroyer (Enos) and Rick Hurst (Cletus) will be there. The General Lee (probably dozens of them) will be there as well as other replicas of cars from the show. Cooter’s Garage Band will be there to provide some rockin’ tunes and you can catch a special screening of Return of the Killer Shrews at the Galaxy Drive-In.

So, mark your calendars, buy your tickets, and register your Hazzard replica vehicle for the car show!
