Planned Maintenance

Hey y’all, our web hosting service will be performing planned maintenance August 6 between 1 and 4 a.m. EST. During that time, you may not be able to reach HazzardNet. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Happy Birthday Rosco!!

July 26 is the birthday of James Best, who despite being old enough to know better, still remains one of the most rowdy personalities anywhere to be found. His amazing Hollywood tenure spans westerns, sci-fi, dramas, and of course the Dukes of Hazzard. While many of us know and love him as Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane of Hazzard County, his real-life stories are even more incredible. We’ve been privileged to hear a few of them first-hand; but they’re best told by Jimmie himself. Get the accounts right from Rosco himself by reading his new book, “Best in Hollywood.” Meanwhile, stop by our Forums and leave him a birthday message! Khee!

Fan O’ the Month!

This Dukes of Hazzard fan is a loyal, long-time fan of the show, as well as one of our most active contributors on the Forums.   In fact, he’s been such a bright spot here on HazzardNet that we’re gonna give him two months worth of Fan of the Month, honoring him with July and August 2009.   (Since July is darn near over and we’re just getting around to this, but you know how we are.)

This fan goes by the handle of Roger Duke. Since joining HazzardNet’s community in March of 2007, Roger has racked up an amazing 3,314 posts.  He’s sponsored and maintained two popular and long-running topics on the Forums, being the popular Trivia thread and also the fun-filled “Duke or Dupe” guessing game.

Roger is a steadfast friend to all of us here at HazzardNet.  He’s always one of the first ones out with the welcome mat when we have a new member.  He’s also the calm voice of reason when there’s a rare case of ruffled feathers.  He’s quick to show appreciation and encouragement to everybody else here, so it’s high time we showed the same appreciation back to him.   Roger, here’s to you, with our warm thanks.

Congratulations to Roger Duke, HazzardNet’s July and August Fan o’ the Month! Sal-ute!
