Dukes of Hazzard for Night Owls

Or for early risers…like, real early. CMT is broadcasting “The Dukes of Hazzard” on weeknights at 1:00 a.m.   Don’t they realize farmers get up early, but not that early? We’re not sure why a family-friendly show like The Dukes of Hazzard is in the same time slot as most infomercials, but it doesn’t bode well.

Many Dukes of Hazzard fans are young viewers and their entire families. It’s one of the few shows on television that you can sit your child in front of and not worry about what they’re going to see or hear.  We hope CMT restores the Dukes of Hazzard to an appropriate time slot that would serve the traditional audience of the program.

Check your local listings for the latest CMT schedules.  And keep your fingers crossed.

Happy New Year!

As we race towards 2011,  we can’t help but glance in the mirrors once last time as 2010 falls behind us.

And count the fillings in our teeth.  Was that a rough road, or what?  2010 was a bumpy enough ride to shake everything loose.

Fortunately for Dukes of Hazzard fans, 2010 had its share of good news.

CMT brought the Dukes of Hazzard back on the air.   Warner Bros released “The Dukes” cartoon on DVD.

And here at HazzardNet, we managed to break through a roadblock,  jump the creek, and land on all four wheels.   We collected a few dents and dings along the way, but we’re happy to see Route 2011 ahead.   We’re glad to have you with us for the ride.

Look for our Year End Yap & Wrap Newsletter in the next day or two.  Meantime,  celebrate New Year’s Eve safely, and Happy New Year from all of us at HazzardNet!
