HazzardNet has received official information that John Schneider and Tom Wopat are making concert appearances together in 2008! These cabaret shows are likely to sell out quickly, so we’re giving you the raw information as we have it.

We have confirmation that John and Tom are scheduled to perform at the Orange County Performing Arts Center, in Costa Mesa CA, on May 10, 2008. For ticket info and details, visit the link below, and scroll to the bottom of the page:

We will share other concert dates as they’re announced.

We also have unofficial information that indicates Tom Wopat will be attending the 2008 DukesFest in Atlanta, GA, June 28 & 29 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway!

Tom was unable to attend the 2007 DukesFest due to a touring commitment with the off-broadway musical production of “Chicago.” And while Tom always has an escape clause that lets him take a Broadway gig if it comes up, so far it sounds like he’s on board for DukesFest 2008! (Note, cast appearances are always subject to change – we’ll bring you the latest DukesFest news as it becomes available.)

While we’re talking about John & Tom – we’d better mention that their 1987 holiday movie, “Christmas Come to Willow Creek” is available on DVD. It’s for sale at most DVD retail outlets and This is your big chance to see John and Tom together in a non-Dukes setting as bickering, truck-driving brothers rather than chummy, car-racing cousins. It’s not your average, sappy, Christmas special, so if you like a little angst served up with your eggnog, you’ll enjoy this flick. It gets mushy at the end, but hey, it’s a Christmas movie! Enjoy the fistfights until you get there.

Happy Thanksgiving!

All of us at HazzardNet want to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. Watch some football, enjoy your time with family, and most of all stuff yer faces with some turkey and fixin’s!

The Duke cousins will be on The Graham Norton Show!

Dukes of Hazzard fans in the UK rejoice! Cathy Bach, John Schneider, and Tom Wopat will be appearing on the Graham Norton Show on Wednesday, November 21. If you are in the UK and would like tickets to the show, please contact Newton at newtonv/at/

Dukes Reunion Movies on CMT!

Tuesday, November 13, at 8:00 p.m. eastern, CMT will air the 1997 made-for-TV movie, “The Dukes of Hazzard: Reunion!” This is the story of what became of the cousins Duke after going their separate ways – and what happens when the family is reunited again in Hazzard County.

Best of all, there’s car chases! This is the movie that contained the only appearance of the famed “Double-Zero” Mustang. The “00”, we’re told, is the only car to have ever beaten the General Lee in a Hazzard County road race. Now, there’s a re-match with the farm at stake, and plenty of dirty-dealings by the opposition.

But wait, there’s more! Immediately following “Reunion”, CMT is airing the 2000 made-for-TV movie, “The Dukes of Hazzard: Hazzard in Hollywood.” This is the last outing for the original cast, and bittersweet with the absence of the late Denver Pyle. Still, it’s full of fun Dukes antics, and watching Rosco get his tie stuck in an ATM is a classic moment.

Don’t miss your rare chance to see these seldom-aired shows!

Writers Guild Strikes; Dukes of Hazzard Fans Rejoice

The Writer’s Guild of America gave collective bargaining the collective finger. Antagonized by the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers over piddly things like not getting paid for podcasts, web downloads and the like, the Writer’s Guild has officially broken the pencil. The strike will linger until the Producers come to their senses and resolve the compensation issues.

Yeah, right. What are the odds of that? This is Hollywood we’re talking about.

While the strike rages into it’s second day, some TV programs will be immediately affected, while others will last awhile before the lack of new scripts cuts into production. Fans of current, popular programs are already anticipating a dreary winter of prime-time reruns.

Dukes of Hazzard fans, meanwhile, have reasons to be optimistic. The possibilities are strong that a lingering writer’s strike will cause shows like The Dukes of Hazzard to be rerun again. We wouldn’t be surprised if CMT abruptly brought the Dukes back on the air.

The downside of this, is that we might see the 2005 Dukes of Hazzard movie on network TV sooner than later. Guess we’ll have to take the bad with the good.

When we have confirmation of any re-airing of The Dukes of Hazzard, we’ll let you know. Meanwhile, pay tribute to the Writer’s strike by popping in your Dukes DVD’s at home, and watching a timeless masterpiece like, “Strange Visitor to Hazzard.”

We Want More Dukes!

Everytime the latest Dukes of Hazzard DVD set was released, we here at HNet (not just staff, but loyal Hazzardites) would anxiously await to see what the extras would be. Would one of the reunion movies be added? Maybe an episode of the short lived spin off “Enos” where Daisy, Rosco or Uncle Jesse visted? Maybe one or two of the Dukes cartoon episodes?

But alas, now that all seven seasons have now been released, WB didn’t give us a taste of any of that.

But wait! According to, there are rumors that WB is considering releasing both reunion movies, the “Enos” series AND the Dukes cartoon series on DVD!! Could it be our prayers have been answered??

We’ll know for sure come the summer of 2008, when the two reunion movies are slated for release. Y’all stick around y’hear?
