For all of you wondering what happened to HazzardNet for most of the day, there was a power outage at the facility where the HNet server is housed. Power has been restored and we’re back!

ROSCO!! You lamebrain! Where’s my movie ticket??

Folks, we weren’t lying. Seriously. The Season Three DVD release was suppose to have a free movie ticket, good for up to $12 admission for the Dukes of Hazzard theatrical release in August. We’ve heard from a few folks already that found no movie ticket in their copy of Season 3.Â We were not making this up. WB has promoted this with net advertising and has it right on their site, that a free movie ticket is included with the season 3 release.

Now….the question is was every single DVD release suppose to have a ticket or did only a certain number of DVDs get the ticket. WB does not make it clear on their site which way the answer goes, they only say “while supplies last.”Â What kind of answer is that?!

Yours truly (MaryAnne) will be attempting to pick up a copy this weekend. If there’s no movie ticket in it we’ll be asking some hard questions of WB come Monday morning. LOL

Only 3 Days Til DukesFest

Only three days left til DukesFest! You still have time to plan a quick trip there if you haven’t already. We at HazzardNet are scurrying around doing last minute packing and planning. We’ll try to update the site during the course of DukesFest. Be sure to check out our site for photos, videos, and personal accounts of the event. If you want to share your own experience there, you may submit photos, videos, etc. Details will be available on the site in a day or so.

CMT Dukes of Hazzard Institute – VP Winner Announced!

Congratulations and a resoundin’ YEEHAAAA to Christopher Nelson, who has been selected as the Vice President of the Dukes of Hazzard Institute.Â Â Some of y’all might remember the campaign of “Slick for VP”Â that appeared on a few fan websites, with a link to a webpage showing Slick’s unique qualifications.Â Evidently, it worked for ’em!

“Slick”Â was among 2000 fans who applied for the position.Â The formal announcement will be made at DukesFest, but we couldn’t resist spilling the beans early, seein’ as how CNN leaked it out earlier today.

HazzardNet wishes the best of luck to Slick, and we’ll keep you posted on the antics of his royal Duke-ness as we become aware of them.
