She started her on-screen career in 1953 with a few bit parts in &#039;&#039;I Love Lucy&#039;&#039;. The bit parts continued through the &#039;60s and &#039;70s, with Peggy rarely playing the same character twice, even when reappearing in a TV series. In 1978, a year before Dukes started, she got a role in &#039;&#039;The Waltons&#039;&#039;. Although that character (Mrs. Borer) didn&#039;t return, Peggy did in the next season, playing Rose Burton for a total of 37 episodes. After playing [[Lulu Hogg|Lulu]] in Dukes, it was back to bit parts for Peggy until she played Ivy Baker in 22 episodes of the Patrick Duffy TV series &#039;&#039;Step by Step&#039;&#039; in the early &#039;90s. Aside from Dukes, Peggy is probably best known for playing Jean Kelly, Grace&#039;s mother in &#039;&#039;Grace Under Fire&#039;&#039;, between 1993 and 1998.<br /> <br /> Peggy died on February 5, 2011, just a few weeks short of her 90th birthday.</div>
