Hazzard Homecoming Brings “Dukes” to Life!

Just the good ol’ boys…and everybody else, appeared at Hazzard Homecoming on August 11 & 12 for Dukes of Hazzard fun! Taking place on a rolling green field under bright blue skies, fans from around the globe enjoyed this memorable visit to “Hazzard County.”

While there were many highlights of the event, the stunt show featuring “Bo and Luke” behind the wheel of the General Lee is the likely favorite. The low-profile jump spared the Charger from damage, while still giving fans a traditional Hazzard County chase!  Here’s a YouTube video posted by “BradNMarty.”

Many fans couldn’t make the trip for this event, so if you have photos, videos or  reports to share about your experience, please feel welcome to post it in our Forums! You can also post on our Facebook page!

Entire Dukes Cast Gathers for Hazzard Homecoming!

Unless you’ve been hiding out in the mountains with your moonshine still, you’ve probably heard that Hazzard Homecoming is taking place August 11 & 12! It’s located at the Ben Venue Racecourse, intersection of Hwy 211 and Route 729 in Amissville, VA. This is just down the road from Sperryville.

Hazzard Homecoming will feature personal appearances by the surviving principal cast of The Dukes of Hazzard. Yes, both John Schneider and Tom Wopat – Bo and Luke Duke  – will be there! As will the charming Catherine Bach.

We’ll also have the intrepid presence of the Hazzard County Sheriff’s Department; James Best, Sonny Shroyer and Rick Hurst. Hosting the shindig is Ben Jones, ol’ Cooter himself, with help from his wife, the lovely Miss Alma.

Of course, you can expect to see lots of General Lees too! Along with Daisy’s Jeep, Uncle Jesse’s pickup and Hazzard County patrol cars.

There’s literally too much going on for us to list, so head over to Cootersplace.com for the complete details. There’s a long lineup of concerts, BMX bike stunts, professional wrestling and whatever else they pull out of the hat.

Best of all, you’ll be surrounded by thousands of other Dukes fans just like you, who can’t get enough of the Dukes of Hazzard!

It’s been hinted by the organizers that this could be “the last time the entire cast is together.”  We’re not going to read into that too deeply or speak anything negative into existence. What we will say, however, is that we know just how much time, work and expense go into putting these events together. There’s been some form of DukesFest/Hazzard Homecoming for so long now that we’ve come to expect them.

But you never know.

So, clear your calendar, gas up the car, pack a cooler and make the pilgrimage to Hazzard Homecoming! Oh, and before we forget – YEEEHAAAA!!

News: Dukes of Hazzard’s John Schneider Appearing in Monticello, Iowa!

His popularity began as “Bo Duke” and it hasn’t slowed down ever since! John Schneider is a veteran actor who has appeared in many TV shows, including “The Dukes of Hazzard”, “Smallville”, “Glee”, “Trick My What?” and  more. He has numerous movie roles on his resume’, plus he’s had a successful recording career and still does a concert now and then. So, what is John doing at the Rod & Custom Car Show in Monticello, Iowa on Feb 25 & 26?

John will be signing autographs and having his picture taken, no doubt, and he’ll be making a lot of fans happy in the process! Much like Tom Wopat did last weekend at the car show in Canton, Ohio.

It says something about the enduring nature of The Dukes of Hazzard that “Bo and Luke Duke” still draw crowds at car shows. And the fact that John Schneider and Tom Wopat are still willing to sign trunk lids and toy General Lees, says something special about them both.

John will be at the Monticello Berndes Center on Saturday, Feb 25 from noon until 4:00 p.m.  He will return that same evening from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Sunday, Feb 26, he will be there from 10:00 a.m. t0 2:00 p.m. Visit the show website for more information.

If you go, remember that getting there early is the name of the game. We do not know how much John is charging for autographs at this show.  Bring extra cash, and bring only what you can reasonably afford to have signed.  Merchandise and photos are usually available at John’s booth.

As always, feel welcome to share your experience and photos with us on our Facebook page and on our Forums!

Calling all Tom Wopat fans! Feb 18 & 19, Tom Wopat, otherwise known as Luke Duke, will be at the Canton Hot Rod Show, at the Canton Memorial Civic Center, in…that’s right, Canton, Ohio!  He will be available for autographs on Saturday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., then returning that night from 7 p.m. to 9 pm.

Sunday, he’ll be there from 12 noon to 5 p.m.  Admission is $10, and autographs are only  $5.00 for an item you bring, or, $10 for an autographed photo. Tom will have his music CD’s available for $20.

A General Lee, provided by our friend “TimDuke”, is also scheduled to be there!

Tom doesn’t do many non-musical appearances, so this is a rare chance to see him in person and outside of the theater!

You’ll want to arrive early for the best parking.

Ya’ll are welcome to share your pictures on the HazzardNet Forums and Facebook page!
