1. What year is....

General Lee -- 1969 Dodge Charger R/T

Daisy's Jeep -- 1980 CJ7

Daisy's yellow car -- Although an area of dispute among fans, Daisy's yellow car was actually two different model years. In One Armed Bandits for example, it's a 1974 Plymouth RoadRunner. The car that went off the cliff in "The Runaway" was a 1971 RoadRunner. Some fans even go so far as to dispute whether the car was a RoadRunner, a GTX or a Satellite. More often than not, GTX was a performance package option with RoadRunners and Satellites.

Boss's Caddy -- Dukes fan Paul points out that Boss's Caddy was a 1970 Deville. Thanks Paul!

Jesse's pick up -- 1975(?) Ford F100's and 150s (long beds and short beds were used). A close up shot of the fender of the above truck shows it to be an F100. I (MaryAnne) am sure that in later episodes, F150's were used.

Cooter's tow truck -- He had a ton of different models! The brown pick up is an early 70's Chevy (Thanks to Dukes fan Matt for the pic!). Dukes fan Jason tells us that the white tow truck was a 1969 Ford and the yellow was a mid '70's Ford. Thanks Jason!

Rosco, Enos and Cletus's patrol cars -- The cars that were used from the third season on were late 70's Plymouth Fury's ('78 and '79's like above). The first couple of seasons had AMC's, mid 70's Fury's (remember Cooter and his blue '75 Plymouth? Yeah, they used those too. LOL) and Dodge Monaco's were used as well.
2. What does the P in Rosco P. Coltrane stand for?
Pervis
3. What was Rosco's dog's name? What breed is it?
Flash and she's a Basset Hound. (The first few episodes with Flash refer to the dog as a he.) The first episode Flash appeared in was "Enos Strate to the Top" in the third season.
4. I'm a long lost relative of one of the stars of the show. Can you get in contact with them for me?
Sorry, no we can't. We're just fans of the show who have dedicated time and effort to build a website in honor of a favorite tv program.
5. I'd like to get in touch with people who were part of the Dukes production crew, do you know where I can contact them?
Sorry, no we don't. Same as above, we're just fans of the show. None of us are in any way officially tied in with the cast, Warner Brothers, CBS, Gy Waldron, the Estate of Paul Picard, Lou Step Productions, Waylon Jennings, RCA Victor, the Alabama State Militia or the Sons of Confederate Veterans. (In other words, we ain't nobody important! LOL).
6. I have some Dukes merchandise I'd like to sell. Can I do that on your site?
We have a Collectibles and Memorbilia category in our Forums. You can post information about what you'd like to see, but please keep in mind that HNet takes no resposiblity for content of the ads and is a neutral third party regarding the transcation. Any disputes between buyer and seller must be resolved between buyer and seller. (Proceed at your own risk!)
7. I have some Dukes merchandise. Can you tell me what the value of it is?
Unfortunately, we're not in the business of appraising or evaluating various merchandise. Like you, we've collected various stuff over the years but we have no way of determining an accurate current market value for those items.

Columbia House (www.columbiahouse.com) currently offers the Dukes on VHS for about 20 bucks a month.

9. What channel is currently airing the Dukes of Hazzard?
US Dukes fans can watch the Dukes on CMT starting February 25th, 2005.
Canadian fans can watch on CMT Canada starting in October of 2004.
10. Why did Bo and Luke leave the show?
Contract dispute. The short version is that John and Tom were being cheated out of royalties from the sale of merchandise. They also complained about the quality of the scripts.
11. Why did Rosco leave the show?
Contract dispute. James Best wanted a better dressing trailer to go to to dry off after being thrown in muck piles in various episodes. WB scoffed, Jimmie walked.
12. Why did Cooter leave the show?
Contract dispute. This one's kinda ridiculous on the studio's part. They wanted Cooter to be clean shaven. Who cares if Cooter's got whiskers or not???
13. Is there a Dukes of Hazzard Fanclub?

14. How many seasons were there of the Dukes of Hazzard?
There were a total of seven seasons of the Dukes! (Or 6 and half depending on your definition of the season. LOL). Season One was a mid-season replacement (meaning it started in January and went until May). Seasons 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 were full September - May seasons. Season 7 ran September until February.
15. When did Coy and Vance show up?
Season Five
16. What state was Hazzard supposed to be located in?
Georgia
17. Where was the Dukes filmed?
The first five episodes were filmed in and around Covington and Conyers, Georgia, and also parts of Atlanta (where the script called for them to be in Atlanta. LOL). After that production moved to the back lot of Warner Bros studios in California and some facilities in Burbank. Dukes fan Chris adds the following on the California location..."I have been watching the reruns on CMT which brought me to your site. I thought you might want to add that most of the dirt road, bridge crossing, oak pasture scenes were shot at Disney''s Golden Oak Ranch at Placerita Canyon in Santa Clarita, CA They are not open to the public for tours but you can see a lot of it from Placerita Canyon Road." (Thanks Chris!)
