We've just upgraded to a new version of the forums and it includes some great new social features. You can check out all the new features in the FAQ, here:

In addition, to combat spammers, we've set up new user groups. For the first 10 days to 30 days and 5 or more posts, users will have limited permissions. They cannot have an avatar, signature, or PM privileges. However, if you are honestly participating in the forum, please feel free to PM or email us and request that we promote you and give you regular permissions.
