Ok y'all. Roger encouraged me to post this idea to see if anyone would be interested...

What if we all got together and watched an episode together, chatting while we watched it. Bo James and I have done that before and, if you can get everyone to start at the same time, it's quite fun. Kind of like doing your own commentaries...

My thought was maybe we could take a vote of what episode to watch by those who are interested...and find a time that works for everyone and set it up....

But I have a question... how can you watch the show and chat? You see, The computer is in one room, and the TV is in another? (I am horrible at figuring this technology stuff out!) Anyway, it does sound like fun!

Well...if you don't have a laptop my only other suggestion would be to do what I do and if you have a DVD drive on your pc watch it there...and chat in another window and adjust the peramiters so you could do both at once...

Other than that I don't know...

Since my computer is in the living room I didn't think of your problem popping up General. I hope you can figure it out.
When Daisy told me this idea, I thought it was creative genius. I hope we can pull it off sometime. I don't care which episode it is. To avoid arguments, Daisy I suggest you pick the first episode and then someone else can pick next...some people might not have all seasons so we might have to consider them.....It would be nice to do it every Friday night at 8:00 EST since that's when Dukes was on originally but I don't want to wait that long plus a lot of folks go out that night. How about Monday at 8 or 9? Even if only 3 or 4 of us do it the first time, it would be fun and might catch on when other folks hear about how much fun we're having. Again...creative genius!!!!!!

Like Roger said, you're a genius DaisyMae! I think this will be so much fun! I would love to do it tonight, however, I will be gone when you start this tonight! I sure hope all of you have a great time, though. If someone could write back after it happened and report to all of those who weren't able to make it, I would feel a lot better! I hope that next week to be able to do this!

This was a blast. We're thinking about doing this every Monday at 8:00 EST. Once again, thanks to DaisyMae for coming up with this idea. I'm already looking foward to next Monday. Hopefully more people will get in on this fun. Once you've tried it, you'll want more of it. We'll keep you posted.

It really was such fun. It was me DaisyMae and Roger all watching baby for the dukes, we chatted throughout, picking out little things and commenting on them, making jokes and the like then chatted for a little bit after.

Hey, DoubleX, how much time difference is there between you and EST, 5 or 6 hours? I'm asking because I'm not sure if you meant that 1am coordinated with 8 or 9 (since 8 is the time we would be starting and 9 would be the time we would be ending.) I could log on some day at 5:00 next week and we could do an episode together if you are able. Of course anybody else could join in if they wanted. That would get you to sleep before midnight. Let me know.

Well Laura, actually we didn't do it at 8:00 but me and DoubleX watched "The Ghost of General Lee" at 6:00 together.
We're going to try to do this every week on Mondays at 8:00 Eastern Standard Time. It's a blast. Log on a little early to find out what episode we're featuring and get in the chat room then we'll count to 3 and hit play at the same time and chat about what we're watching. Even if only 2 people are participating, it's still a blast. Do you have all 7 seasons on DVD? Maybe we can try it Monday.

Yes, I do own all 7 seasons of the Dukes, so any show would work for me.

Well, since it seems that Daisy and Roger are heading this up, I feel it should be your decision when to start the show/chat, and everyone will come when they can. You both are putting a lot of thought into this, and are trying to accomodate everyone-and I appreciate that! But, I feel that the time chosen should be based on what's convenient for the BOTH of you. So, I think that if it works better for the both of you to be 9 PM EST, then that's the time it should be.

Like I've been saying: if I don't have to be anywhere, and I don't forget (:p) I plan to be there next Monday!
