Thanks to RogerDuke for this suggestion. This is the place to post trivia questions for others to guess. Or if you have a question about one of the episodes and can't find the answer, post it here and maybe someone will answer it for you!

1. Cooter
2. At the junkyard
3. Ledbetter

I can't remember the answers for the last three questions... Of course I could cheat and look up in the DVD, but what would be the fun in that? ;)

HI Eleonora,

Well so far your answers are right! Congrats! But what about the rest of the questions? Going to take a shot at them? Anyone else out there know the answers? LOL ;)

I got a trivia question for there is a little piece of dukes mention in every episode of the episodes and it's D'oh, and if you think about it's short for Dukes of Hazzard.

Hi General Lee---

Well you are very close to getting them all correct! My congrats! But I do need the specific routes that Bo and Lukes buddies were staked out on and I'm afraid the design on Daisy's bag is incorrect! :( I'm sorry...go ahead and try again! ;)

Here's one that is on "Ode to Mis Tizdale" but since there are more viewers here, I'll repost it. In addition to the post office, which business in town does Mis Tizdale work at?

RogerDuke

Does anyone know what the official spelling of ole is (as in "good ole boys")? Is it 1) 'ole 2) 'ol 3) ol' 4) ole' or something different? Also, did we ever officially determine which one was really Denver's birthday, May 11 or Dec 25?

MinDuke
05-21-2007, 11:52 PM
Roger---

Besides being Post Mistress, Miz Tisdale ran the Hazzard Cab Company. And to answer your second question its ol' as in Good Ol' Boy! Denver was born May 11th and died Christmas of 1997. Hope this helps! :)

Question #6

Dobro was "LIVE from the Interchange..."

Ol' Brody was watching 76 South.

And Cooter was staked out on 421.

There are two answers but you are right about the Hazzard Cab Company. By the way, JulieDuke beat you to the correct answer in the "Ode to Mis Tizdale" thread. ...who can get the other? Incidently, the Cab Company was from season 3.."The Hack of Hazzard". I'm gone.

I thought I saw heri n one episode working at liabary. Uncle Jessie asks her for an old newpaper acticle.

RogerDuke

Hey Jamanda, You're close....really close. It's a place where Daisy even worked once.

MinDuke

Roger--

Miz Tisdale also worked for the newspaper...

Jax

RogerDuke
05-24-2007, 02:48 AM
Correct. In back to back episodes in season 3 they had her at the Hazzard Gazzette, Cab Company and Post Office. Considering she had 3 jobs, it's amazing she still had enough energy to ride wheelies and flirt with Uncle Jesse. I wish he would have gone on at least one date with her. What would have looked more romantic...both of them in Hazzard Swamp on her dirt bike or both of them at a drive-in-movie on Maudeen the mule?...don't answer that, it's not really a trivia question...just a fun thought. How about this tough one, in which episode did they paint the General Lee green? Possum on a gumbush. I'm gone.

MinDuke

The General Lee got pained green in Southern Cumforts...Looked like a big celery stalk! LOL...Looks better in the orange! ;)

What are the only roads into Chickasaw County?

MinDuke
05-24-2007, 06:57 PM
Daney---

The only two roads into Chickasaw County are Highways 3 and 16...They are mentioned by Luke in my all time favorite episode, My Son Bo Hogg...and if you don't believe that you can also see the road sign for 3 in the episode itself...;)

Good job on the green General Lee answer MinDuke. How about this one...which episode mentioned that Rosco's age is 48?

Meadowmufn
05-24-2007, 10:03 PM
Mrs. Rosco P. Coltrane! Incidentally, that makes Rosco 6 years younger than James Best.

MinDuke
05-24-2007, 10:47 PM
WHOO HOO!!! *hearty applause* You're right MeadowMufn!! Congratulations! :)

yeah Mama Coltrane was going to throw herself off a building... even at 48 Rosco was just a boy and too young to get married LOL...;)

Jax

Meadowmufn
05-24-2007, 11:43 PM
Khee! I knew that one, especially since it involved Rosco. It helped that that particular episode just aired on CMT. LOL.

Hey, this is my 700th post! Woo hoo!

MinDuke

Great news about post # 700! :) Thats a lot of posts and of course you'd be able to answer any question regarding Rosco ;) LOL

Jax

RogerDuke
05-25-2007, 09:23 PM
I thought that Rosco looked a little older than 48 there....thanks for that tidbit Meadowmuffin. Here's another one....what is Jim Bronke's occupation? I don't think he was ever on the show but we sure saw his name a lot.

what two names are listed through the series as the owners of the bail bonds agency?

MinDuke
05-27-2007, 03:16 AM
Hey Gang!

Last week I asked you all some trivia. Some of you tried to answer as many as you could. I thank you for that! :) But as promised here are the answers:

1. Cooter
2. The junk yard
3. Honest John Ledbetter
4. Luke was using them to line the rabbit cages, face up
5. Hazel
6. The Interchange, 76 South, and 421
7. The right side.
8. It’s blue with sailboats on it

And now this week's trivia for the next episode, Daisy's Song:

1. What was Jesse doing when the boys were practicing their archery?
2. What did Lester Star give the boys when the police raided?
3. Who was singing Daisy’s song on the radio?
4. What did Bo hand Rosco when he catches them in Daisy’s car?
5. What was the publishing company Daisy sent her song to?
6. What type of guns did Jojo show the boys?
7. What were the two things Daisy was doing in the General when the raid broke out?
8. What color and number is the pool ball that Boss uses for a nutcracker?

Good Luck!! ;)

Jax

RogerDuke

On the courthouse sign it lists Axtell Bail Bonds and Victor's Bail Bonds is a business on a side street not too far from the bank. Now here's a super tough one....which street is Hotchkiss Funeral Home located on?

MinDuke
05-27-2007, 06:57 AM
RogerDuke---

You are correct about Axtell, Congratulations! However owner #2 is Hogg...Hogg Bail Bonds! :)

Jax

MinDuke
05-27-2007, 03:18 PM
PS!! LOL Sorry I forgot to answer you! RogerDuke, the Hotchkiss Funeral Home is on Riskin Ave! Address is 102 Riskin Ave! :)

Jax

RogerDuke
05-27-2007, 04:41 PM
Wow MinDuke, can anybody make you miss one? That's pretty impressive about the funeral home. After rereading your question, I realized you meant the sign in front of the courthouse. I remember it changing to from Axtell to Hogg but I can't remember when, do you know? Here's another one.... which episode introduced Cletus? (before he was a deputy). If anybody beats you to this answer it's probably because they logged on before you, not because you didn't know it. You're good. I'm gone.

MinDuke
05-27-2007, 07:51 PM
Roger---

Thank you very much! :)...To answer you, the sign changed from Axtell to Hogg in the second season and its been Hogg ever since! (At least for the next 5 seasons LOL). We first meet Cletus Hogg in Money to Burn, Season 1. He helped his cousin Boss frame the boys for an armored truck robbery. One of only two episodes where the boys are in tuxs and dont they look good! ;)

WOW!! Holy Rusted Metal Batman!!! You got 7 out of 8!! *hearty applause, standing ovation, mucho cheering" Awesome Job!!! :D. The last one about the pool ball is the only one you didnt get. Care to venture another guess? Anyone else want to try for it! ;)

MinDuke, you're right about Cletus's debut. You got me on the pool ball but for some reason I'm thinking it's green...(by the way, good job on the others MaryAnne). Which episode mentions that the Dukes are Methodist?

MinDuke

Jax

RogerDuke

Instead of telling you which season, here's two other clues. 1) Cletus said it 2) It was an episode with a short blooper of Daisy talking without her mouth moving. Here's an another one. At what location did Enos first see a UFO?

MinDuke
05-29-2007, 04:20 AM
Roger---

Enos saw a flying saucer in Skunk Hollow.. And as for the Dukes being Methodist...thanks to your clues I was able to open my database and narrow all that info down! Man I need to make a new one! LOL You might need to check your sources...Jude Emery has a blooper of Daisy talking without moving her mouth but Cletus isnt in that episode...

4. A stick of dynamite and asks him to hold it for him. And it was lit as well.

RogerDuke
05-30-2007, 02:49 AM
Woops, I goofed. The answer is Jude Emery but I messed up who said it. I remembered that it was a lawman and wasn't Rosco or Enos. It turns out that it was Grady Byrd. I usually double check my questions before I put them up but I guess I should be as careful about my (spontaneous) clues. Thanks for catching that....I'd sure like to see that database of yours. Did you ever see the hobby thread where I talk about the map I'm making? I'm gone.

Okay, now I'm embarressed. Thanks though for catching that. Once again, I have to be more careful with those clues. Thank goodness we have the DVDs to settle any arguement. By the way, you were right about Skunk Hollow. Here's some trivia that someone might help me with. I am making a list of all the country music stars that have appeared on the original series. I'm probably missing some. Can someone tell me if they have a complete list?
Donna Fargo
Brenda Lee
Johnny Paycheck
Mickey Gilley
Oak Ridge Boys
Loretta Lynn
Tammy Wynette
Hoyt Axton
Dottie West
Freddie Fender

Mel Tillis (didn't sing)
Janie Fricke (didn't sing)

I didn't remember Brenda Lee being on the show either but Catherine Bach claimed that she was (see special features on the season 4 DVD). I guess she messed up. That makes me wonder about her accuracy when she claimed Denver was born on Dec 25 when everybody else thinks it's May 11. Thanks for Buck Owens, I can't believe I forgot that legend. And thanks for reminding me about Mel's second show. By the way, that was awesome trivia about James Best painting those. Here's one for you, which episode did Daisy get Dixie? I bet MinDuke won't need a clue for that one. Possum on a gumbush. I'm gone.

Sadly, I missed meeting him on the reunion set by 15 minutes. He was already battling cancer then and work on the show took its toll.

RogerDuke
06-02-2007, 04:01 AM
In case you're looking for that, it's the special feature on disc 1 in which the 3 Dukes are doing commentary about the episode "Double Dukes". She says it at the end where Donna Fargo is singing. Here's another trivia question....in the episode where diamonds are stuffed in a Bugs Bunny doll, the female thief pretends she is a reporter for the Atlanta Tribune so she can get in the Dukes house. What is the name of the reporter she is pretending to be? I'll give a clue in 24 hours if nobody gets it. Possum on a gumbush I'm gone.

RogerDuke
06-03-2007, 03:56 AM
Everybody's probably at Dukes Fest (turns green with jealousy) and aren't doing trivia. Here are two clues from my last question. 1) it's in season 4 2) the reporter shares initials with one of the three younger Dukes

MaryAnne
06-03-2007, 03:32 PM
Yeah, most folks are at DukesFest. Except those of us who ain't. LOL

I'm gonna take a stab at this and I know I'm wrong, atleast partly because I believe the last name of the reporter was Dawn. And all I can think of for the first name is Delta!! ROFL (Delta Dawn, what's that flower you have on.... Tanya Tucker song... anyway!)

I'm pretty sure the first name didn't start with a D. Or maybe it did. AAHH!! This one's gonna drive me nuts. ROFL

RogerDuke
06-03-2007, 05:46 PM
Close enough to be impressive...it's Della Dawn. Here's one that's not as tough. What song does Tammy Wynette sing when she makes her only Dukes appearance?

RogerDuke
06-04-2007, 02:22 AM
All right Sheriff, I'm calling you out. You got that song so quick, here's one that I think you might struggle with. What song did Enos and Grannie Annie sing in his patrol car?

Meadowmufn
06-04-2007, 03:45 AM
Well, ya got me. For some reason, "Buffalo Gals" is sticking in my head, but I don't think that's it. Perhaps it's Cooter's favorite, "Camptown Races"?

RogerDuke
06-04-2007, 08:55 PM
Sorry, neither one is close. Here's a hint. It would be found in a hymnal. In the meantime here's some trivia questions from "Coltrane vs Duke".
Easy question) What was Boss hoping to acquire by having Rosco sue the Dukes?
Medium question) Which book did Rosco have Boss read to him several times while he was pretending to be injured?
Hard question) What year did Uncle Jesse say his ancestors got the Dukes land? I'm gone.

3. Where is Mary Kaye headed?
4. Who does Luke hit with an egg?

Rosco wanted to paint the General lavender! As he explained it was in honor of Mama. "Well, Mama likes lavender..." Khee!

ahh ok mystery solved....thanks Jax. LOL I turn on closed caption myself sometimes when I am not sure what's being said. I thought at one point in swamp molly that Luke calls her Aunt Molly but I listened closely and he actually says "you know Molly" LOL.

The General Kee? KHEE!

Listen, I didn't come up with the idea to pain the General lavender. It was Rosco. Blame him. ROFL. And thankfully Boss put the keebosh on it and said they'd paint it for the next heist, but by that point the boys had got their car back.

Hmmm....The Southern Belle. That be a good name for a WWII bomber plane. (Yes, I'm thinking the Memphis Belle. LOL)

Speaking of "Mary Kaye's Baby", a prominent member of the Hazzardnet tells me that it is the only episode that doesn't have the General Lee in it. I didn't even pay attention to that the last time I watched it....Since I'm more of a "people person" than a "car guy", I guess I can see how I'd miss that. I'm gone.

MinDuke, Thanks for the info. Yes, I saw your questions but they're a little tough without recently seeing it. Did you see my questions about "Coltrane vs Duke"? (previous page). You must have missed them because you usually respond. By the way, nice thread about the DukesFest. Did you read my map idea in "hobbies"? With your database, I wonder if you've ever considered it.

6) It was more or less 100.000 $. I know they said the exact amount right down to the cents, but that's just too complicated to remember! :)
7) Again, can't remember the exact amount, but between the both of them it was something like 5 dollars and some change.
8) *taking a wild guess here* Green and red?

I got one for y'all. What was the main change to the General Lees paint job from the first season? It was something they changed within the first season or or between the first and second seasons.

It was the only real change they made to the General Lee's paint job that was perminant.

You're right Daney...it's Cooter. Off the subject, I've been watching the episodes in order and I saw "Trouble at Cooter's" last night from season 4. In it, Boss had bought out Rhuebottom's Store and was using it as a warehouse. I'll probably find this answer out tonight when I watch the next episode but as I recall, Rhuebottom's Store is in the series longer than that, right? Is it Loretta Lynn in 1980?
I noticed that the sign in "Nothing but the Truth" spelled it Olde (with an E) Hazzard Livery Stable. Is this consistent with your database in other episodes MinDuke? I doubt it because I think Boss did renovations there for the casino and the sign was new.

In Bad Day in Hazzard, Season 4... Jesse tells the cousins and Cooter a story about him and Boss. The Boars Nest was a warehouse in those days where Boss used to store his shine...

Nice job Min!!! I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'd love to see that database. How do you manage to have that much info recorded? I mean, in order to know Boss's number or the cost of that newspaper (and other such info), you'd have to pause thousands of scenes in 7 seasons!!! Unless you get the question, then watch the episode and then log on again with the answers. Either way, your dedication to the best show to ever be on a television screen is very impressive. What Ive had to do is go episode by episode and write down every single teeny weeny detail I could find! LOL...Signs, billboards...everything! Listen to conversations and make detailed notes. Believe me it isnt easy, even if youre naturally observant and its taken some time. When I wrote my trivia book, it would literally take me hours for one episode! And heres the kicker, I did the trivia book when the show was on TNN!! LOL videotape!! Now that theyve come out on DVD its opened up even more details, which is another reason why I'm redoing the database. At the time, TNN sliced and diced the episodes like they were ham at a deli counter, some of them were missing up to 15 minutes per episode. Thats a lot more missing info!! But Ive loved Dukes all my life so the database and the trivia is a labor of love! ;)

Hey Min, your database is indeed a labor of love. Thanks for revealing all those details...I've sure been wondering.
When the show was out originally I started writing stuff for my map about the third season. Of course there were reruns and that helped but I still struggled to get it all organized Also, the geographical inconsistencies and difficult things to hear (sometimes they talked too fast) made things tough. This DVD set is great because I've been able to "rewind" things that were difficult to understand. I wish I would have thought about "Closed Caption" earlier so I could have had more acurate spellings but (as Rosco would say) "there's good news, good news!"....that just gives me an excuse to start over again. I wouldn't want inaccurate spelling on my map. By the way, would you prefer to be called Jax?

8) What is the breed of dog the boys to distract the bad guys' guard dog?

1. Richard Petty
2. I think he originally wanted $700.
3. Bo
4. Shot arrows into the tires and Luke threatened continued distruction with a chain saw. Khee!
5. A dollar. But Cooter only had a five, which Bo took anyway because they'd need some gas too. LOL
6. The Ladies Auxillary
7. 71
8. Uhhh.....I think Julie had said cocker spaniel and I think she's right. The bad dude's dog was the Doberman.

Here's some from High Octane:

9) What is the license plate number of General Lee?
10) What is the prize for the contest?
11) What are Jesse's and Luke's initials?
12) How often do the Dukes have to report to their probation officer?
13) T or F. Bo's tie is undone when Boss and Jesse discuss the contest.
14) What happened to the shine when Agent Huntley discovered the still?
15) What is Agent Huntley's first name?
16) How many bags of sugar do the Dukes use to make shine?

I'm gonna take a stab at this one. Here's my guesses:

9) CNH 320
10) $20,000 I think
11) Jesse L. and Lucas K.
12) I think it's quarterly.
13) True?
14) Emptied out and ran into the creek. Cooter mentioned something about some real happy fish if I remember right.
15) Roxanne
16) 2

Woops, sorry about the Doberman thing Julie. You were right...I was wrong. By the way, happy birthday Sunday. That's my daughter's birthday also.
Here's 3 questions from "The Great Insurance Fraud"
easy) Who masterminded the insurance fraud?
medium) Which (American State) was Rosco planning to vacation in? Hint: it's a long long ways from Hazzard County, Georgia
tough) What is the name of the lake featured in this episode?

Here's an interesting trivia fact from "The Treasure of Soggy Marsh".....The Dukes phone number is "Hazzard 587"
My CB's busted so I'm going to call them on the land line now because I need help with this trivia thread. Possum on a gumbush. I'm gone.

Here's another intersecting trivia fact the guy that plays Rosco replacement as a small role in the James Bond movie "The Man with The Golden Gun" his funniest line is that a little oriental kid swims up to him with a elephant and his wife like and he practically spits on his wife and says "Were Democrats."

Which one, Julie?

Lester Crabb - Clifton James
Grady Byrd - Dick Sargent
Buster Moon - James Hampton. Incidentally, JH and Sonny Shroyer had parts in 1974's The Longest Yard.

Hi Dustin, It's nice to see a new name on the trivia thread.
Here's 3 from "Welcome Back Bo 'n Luke"
easy) What business was Boss trying to get so he could tear it down and build a shopping center, Cooter's or The Hazzard Gazzette?
medium) What model of yellow Ford car did Bo and Luke drive back to Hazzard and Coy and Vance left in?
tough) What was the name of the trophy that Bo and Luke brought back from Mobile?

Julieduke

2. A Ford Mustang.

RogerDuke
07-20-2007, 01:58 AM
You're right Julie, it was a Mustang. It was Cooter's garage that Boss was trying to tear down for his shopping center and it was the Nascar Mobile Cup that the boys brought home.
Since interest in my trivia questions seems to be cooling off a bit, I think I'll try this. I'm just going to post one question per episode from now on. I suspect that people aren't answering because the tough ones are too tough and...If they don't know all 3, they don't answer any at all. I'm going to keep the question somewhere between an easy to medium difficulty level to give average Dukes trivia players a chance to get a correct answer in quicker than experts. Of course, if someone answers before you and you think it's wrong, you have a chance to correct them but a big factor is going to the timing of loggin in.
I hope other people will start posting more questions. There's no need to post a bunch at once. People may respond better if you only post one at a time.....(less thinking and less pressure)
Here's one now....Pa Beaudry's two sons are named Sledge and (what)?

Milo!! ROFL. Tho' I have to admit that had you asked it the other way around that woulda been hard because I can never remember the other son's name. But who could forget Milo? LOL

RogerDuke
07-21-2007, 01:54 AM
Right MaryAnne, It's Milo. It's too bad the Beaudry's did bad things like kidnapping Daisy. Other than that, they would have been really likable. They remind me of Earnest T Bass and the Darlings on Andy Griffith...genuine hills folks. Here's a question someone might help me with. How did you say Mr. Darling's (Denver Pyle) name? Was it Drisco?
Here's a trivia question from "A Baby for the Dukes". When the 3 younger Dukes were singing "Mamas don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys", they changed the lyrics and that made Uncle Jesse interrupt with "That's a good one!" What did they change the lyrics to?

B.L. Davenport

"A Baby for the Dukes" is one of my favorite episodes! They changed the lyrics to "Mama's don't let your babies grow up to be Duke boys."

RogerDuke

Yea, You're right with your answer B.L. and that is a good episode... I think the mother of the baby is Rosco's real life daughter. Her name is Janeen Best. Can anyone confirm that?
Here's a question from "A little game of pool". Which member of the Duke family is the best pool player?

Thanks for the confirmation about Janeen Best, MaryAnne.
Here's a question from "The Revenge of Hughie Hogg". Whose personal car makes a rare appearence in this episode? A) Enos B) Cletus C) Rosco D) Miz Tisdale E) Big Ed Little

RogerDuke
07-23-2007, 01:25 AM
Okay, that last one might have been a little tough. Scratch D and E....the answer is one of the Hazzard County lawmen. Which one?
Speaking of lawmen...in "Too Many Roscos" how did the real Rosco get distinguished from the fake one at the end?
A) Rosco gave Boss the bags of money. A real crook wouldn't have done that.
B) The imposters mask started melting
C) Flash only barks angrily at bad guys never at Rosco.

That's what I would have guessed if I hadn't recently seen it. You two are thinking of the time that Flash picked out Boss from his (good guy) twin brother Abraham Lincoln Hogg. He barked angrily at Boss and was sweet to Abe. Try again. I'm gone.

You're right MaryAnne. Also, that cheek pinch did put an exclamation mark on the situation!!! Leave it to Rosco to be dramatic!!!
Here's an easy one from "Brotherly Love"...Whose long lost brother came to Hazzard?

BoJamesDuke
07-24-2007, 11:56 PM
Why ol' Lukas Dukas of course - Judd Kane (possibly Judd Duke when you think about it to be honest) Long Lost baby brother of Lukas K. Duke, supposed to have died in a hospital fire but actually was rescued by a nice old lady. Now a boxer, comes back to Hazzard to see Luke and get outta trouble :)
