I was supposed to read this book back in my senior year, I started it but never finished the darn well back of February of 2007. Well that is almost fifteen years after I graduated I found a copy that I had at home and started reading it again. Well, last saturday I finished it.

Hey Julie, I probably should know this so I'm risking sounding dumb. I've heard of that but I'm not sure what it's about. Could you give me a brief idea of the plot? Thanks.

If I recall, it's about a woman who commits adultery and as punishment has to wear a scarlet colored "A" (for "A"dultery) on her clothes and thus becomes a social pariah. She attempts to redeem herself. And that's about all I can recall... read it probably 18-19 years ago.

It was pretty good version I had, it was the readers digest version I had read and given to my father afterwards.
