The Accident

It was beatiful Hazzerd morning and everything was normal or as about normal can be. Luke Duke was driving a real peach of a car there was no words to describe this car and he was onto of the world right now, after all he was picking up his girl and this would be the first time she get to see his car. He was going a country road and it was now starting to rain and then he had seen that the visiblty from the fog was getting worst how could it had gettin so bad so fast. On the news they said it was going to be beatiful all day and now this he was thinking to stay safe and maybe himand his girl just wouldn't go anywhere tonight. Just stay at her place but what about right now it was getting pretty bad.
Cue Kitty.

The weather conditions were much worse now their was more rain ,
and their was a sharp left header coming up Luke was trying to get the car
to stop before he got to Georgia's house but unfortunetley Luke was not so lucky the car went out of control Luke was trying to steer the car to fox hill but unfortunetly he was thrown from the car now lays unconicous.

While Luke was laying out cold on the bottom of the hill he was bruised up,
had some burn marks from the crash on side of his face , and neck",
meanwhile Georgia was worrying out of her mind about why Luke hasn't
shown up yet so she called the farm to see if they had any idea of where he could be luckily Bo was standing in the kitchen at the time fixing himself a sandwitch when he heard Georgia's voice over the CB,"

Any of y'all home this here is Georgia i'm calling to see if y'all have any idea of what happend to Luke he ain't shown up yet ?", Then Bo put down
the sandwitch picked up the CB " hey Darlin' no Luke ain't here what with this weather being like it is he could have been caught up in the rain but I'll go look for him if it'll put your mind at ease okay honey",
Georgia replied " Thanks Bo that would be nice ", then Georgia put the CB
down tried to relax but she couldn't help but feel that Luke was in trouble.

Balladeer : I sure hope Bo gets their before it is too late.

Georgia hops in her car and she is trying to find where Luke is and it's nasty outside right now. She had heard from Bo on the cb that he was looking as well, and now Cooter got on and said that had found Luke and what was left of his and Luke doesn't look too good right now. Bo and Georgia was worried about Luke right now and neither would admit it to the other one. And by now Jesse, Daisy, Enos, Rosco and Boss all heard what happen to Luke and they was worried as well.

Georgia, Bo, Daisy and Uncle Jesse was waiting on Dr. Lexmark to talk to them about how Luke was doing. Georgia was quite upset considering she felt responible for what happened to Luke anyways. Bo was reassuring her that it wasn't her fault that he decided to go see her and he didn't know the weather was going to get so bad so fast.

Dr. Lexmark walks up to them and he asks that he some serious thing he has to talk to them about Luke. Uncle Jesse ask him straight out what kind of thing is Doc. Dr. Lexmark says "Well, Jesse your nephew isn't too good off shape right now and he might not make will have to wait and see what happens in the next two weeks."
Uncle Jesse asks Dr. Lexmark why do me have to wait two weeks to see how Luke is. And the docter looked at everybody and says "Well, Luke is good slip into a come in the next two weeks we just don't know if that would happen of not, so were being careful right now Mr. Duke."

Two Weeks Later Luke had made some improvments but unfortunetly
though he was not quite out of the woods yet since he was still unconicous
hopefully though Luke won't stay in this coma for too much longer.

MEANWHILE

Bo , Daisy, Georgia, and Uncle Jesse were pulling into Tri-County hosp.
to take Luke home unaware that he was not awake yet which is gonna just
break Georgia's heart since she already feels bad for Luke's accident
this is only gonna make her feel worse plus Bo will be dissapointed too
since him and Luke was gonna take Georgia and mary-beth juking tonight.

BACK IN THE ER

Luke's Doctor was checking him out seeing if his vitals have improved any
his breathing was a little shallow so then he called nurse kelly over she said " yes doctor Lexmark ", then he said "I would like this patient hooked up to a oxygen mask ", which the nurse replied " yes doctor ", then once that was done the doctor checked the rest of Luke's vitals like eyes which appeared to be normal " so far so good said Dr. Lexmark ", .

Meanwhile the Dukes was still waiting for word on Luke's condition hoping that he has woken up from his coma not realizing that he is still out which is due to the fact that he suffered a blow when he landed on fox hill ",
anyway dr. Lexmark was making his way back to waiting room to tell the
the Dukes the lastest news on Luke's condition unfortunetly he don't know
to how break the news to them about Luke still being unconicous.

Uncle Jesse had gotten a phone call from Dr. Lexmark and he had said" What he had to say couldn't be said over the phone that he had to talk to everybody in person."
Uncle Jesse had gotten Bo and Daisy attention and he had called Georgia on the phone and said for her to meet them at the farm.

Georgia was on her way to the Duke farm being careful as well, she was worried about Luke. All Uncle Jesse would tell her was that he needed to talk to her before they went to the hospital she had feared the worst for Luke but she didn't want to say anything. It seemed the drivers in front of her went extra slow right now and she was never going to get there right now. Bo and Daisy along with Uncle Jesse was waiting on Georgia he had wanted to tell them all something before they went to talk to Dr. Lexmark and it could be said in person and private.

she hadn't even told luke yet. thats what she invited him over for. she wanted to tell him that he was going to be a father and then the accident and know all she had was the baby and the duke family. considering her parents and all her relitives died. now she had to tell them the news without luke's support. she had the thought they could have told them together but not anymore.

As Georgia parked the car infront of the Dukes farmhouse, her knees and hands began to shake as she started to cry. "Stop it." she told herself, "you've got to be strongg." she told herself and pulled herself together.
Bo looked out the window,
"Georgia's here" and Daisy, Jesse and himself all went outside to meet her.
"Come on in Georgia," Jesseesmiled tiredly.
"Uncle Jesse, if you wouldn't mind could we just start out to the hospital? I'd really like to see Luke and hear what the doctor has to say." she smiled bravley.
"Oh, well of course. Daisy, will you grab the trucks keys?"
The drive to the hospital was eerily quiet, and to Georgia it seemed like a three hour drive. As they sat in the waiting room, Georgia kept going over in her head at how she would break the news to the Dukes. Finally, Dr. Lexmark came out and ushered the group into his office.
"How's Luke?" Bo asked quickly
"Well, as far as we can tell Luke is-" he started but was cut off by a nurse running in,
"Doctor! He's in relapse..." and excusing himself the doctor ran out of his office with the nurse.

IN ICU ROOM
"Is he stable?" Dr. Lexmark asked as he quickly rushed into the room,
"Hi heart rate is dropping sir," a nurse said as Dr. Lexmark quickly looked at Luke's eyes and his heart rate, which was dangerously getting lower....

As Luke's heart rate kept dropping the nurses and doctors scurried around the room. Then, the eerie sound of the mono-tone beep came across the monitor, as the lines stopped bouncing down and became flat.
Quickly, Dr. Lexmark grabbed the paddles and charged them.

"Everybody clear!" he demanded as everyone jumped back and he shocked Luke. Nothing.
"Charge," he called again, "clear!" and with that Luke's body jerked back to life. The heart rate monitor started beeping again, slowly but surley. "Find out what went wronge." he ordered the nurses as he quickly checked his pulse and resperation.
"Doctor," a nurse called, "it looks like his oxygen tank has been tampered with." she said pointing to the tubes and wires that had about 2inch gash cut in them. "Maybe it was from lack of oxygen?" she inquired.
"yes. Maybe," he rubbed his head and looked back at Luke, "We need to find out of there was any brain damage done. If it was from lack of oxygen..." he looked at the nurse, "he could have permenate damage done."

Georgia could tell something was wrong and she finally broke. she couldn't do it. she had to tell them.
"I'm pregnant jesse." she told them.
"Luke dosen't even know?" bo asked.
"No. I was gonna tell him once he got to my house. but that never happened." Georgia said sobbing uncontrolobly and shaking.
"How long scince it happened?" daisy asked.
"Six months ago." Georgia managed to say.

Dr. Lexmark came out of Luke's ICU room, his face with a grave expression.
Georgia's eyes widened, afraid at the expression on the doctor's face. "Oh my gosh," she whispered and her eyes fluttered and she fainted. Bo quickly caught her and lay her down on the small couch in the doctors office. Daisy sat down beside her and felt her forehead with her hand, "She's all clamy and she's burning up." she nervously reported.
Uncle Jesse told Daisy to stay with her for a moment and pulled Bo and the doctor outside of the office.
"How's Luke doctor?"
"Well, to be honest," sighed the doctor, "not well. We had to revive him after his hreat rate plumitted." he looked sideways down the hall, "It looks if someone might have tampered with his resperator machine. It could just be that it got bumped, but it did have a gash in the side. It's fixed now, but I thought I'd let you know. If he doesn't wake up within the next 5 hours, it doesn't look very promising."
"Dr. Lexmark?" Daisy poked her head out. "I think you'd better look at Georgia." the three men came in, and Georgia was sitting up on the couch, but she was flushed.
"I'm really fine." she smiled.
"Well it won't hurt to just get you checked out." the doctor smiled and led Georgia out of his office.
The Dukes sat in the waiting room, each taking 10 minutes shifts in Lukes room. Finally, about 45 minutes later, Georgia came back and met them.
"You okay?" Daisy asked and Bo moved over so she could sit by her.
"Yup, everythings great." She smiled. "Is he up yet?"
"Not yet," Bo sighed and looked at his watch. "Uncle Jesse's in their right now, if you want to go see him."
Georgia smiled, "Sure." and Uncle Jesse left and Georgia sat down next to Luke on his bed and took his hand.
"If you didn't have that silly breathing mask on, I'd kiss you." she laughed through her tears and rubbed his hand. "They think you can still hear us." she looked around for a moment, quietly taking everythign in. "Luke, I love you." tears rolling down her rosy cheeks. "You're goign to pull through this. Of course you are, and you're goign to be the best father inthe world." She leaned her head over curled up next to him on his bed and kissed his hand.

Luke suddenly woke up with georgia laying on his bed and was deeply confused as to where he was.
"Where the hell am I?" luke asked.
"Luke, You're awake? You're alive?" georgia said.
"Of course I am. Why am I here of all places?'' luke asked.
"You were in a car crash and it didn't look good for you to live through it all. the doctor said so." Georgia said.
