Under the Weather

Luke is still asleep and everybody at the farm as seen that he has been under the weather lately. Uncle Jesse, Daisy and Bo have been worried because he usually the first one up at the farm.

Uncle Jesse has called Doc Petticord now and he said that he was on his way but he would be more relaxed until the docter got to the farm , and seen how Luke was doing. Uncle Jesse didn't want to say anything but there was deadly form of the Flu going around and that was what he was so worried about right now. He didn't want Bo and Daisy being worried as well right now, and that maybe since he has just seen the Doc pull up maybe all his pacing will come to a end.

Uncle Jesse was worried about the Mortage money being due and now Luke was sick how could he just take off and act like nothing was the matter. Uncle Jesse says to Bo and Daisy I'll be right back and I'll have the cb on for when you hear something from the docter in meantime this payment as got to go the J.D. and make sure nothing happens in the meantime in you two.
The Beginning.

Lets go back a bit Luke felt fine when he got home last night but he just seemed to be tired he didn't even go anywhere at all. Uncle Jesse aske if he was allright and he said ya, just tired that's all Uncle Jesse. Daisy seen that he wasn't himself, and especially Bo he had seen that he fell asleep on the way home today, and that wasn't like Luke. They didn't even go tot the Boar's Nest tonight even thought they really wanted to and that it wasn't like then not to.

Daisy had noticed that he wasn't even very hungary and she had made his favorite dinner. Luke had to be sick to pass that up she spent so much time on that as well, a little bit later he was asleep she had went and talked to Uncle Jesse about Luke and how he looked like he was sick but he wasn't saying anything at all about it.

Unfortunetly though Luke is now stuck in a mess since he is really sick
with a bad case of that deadly flu that has been going around town.
Meanwhile Doc Petticord was checking Luke out he noticed that his throat
was red and sore , he has a fever of 102 , also he is nauses and sleepy.
Bo and Daisy was in the hallway waiting to hear the news so Bo said " lord
i hope Luke don't have that horrible flu that half the county has ", then Daisy said " I know cuz it would just be so awful if he did since Uncle Jesse was threating all last night about him developing that nasty bug.

Right about that time Doc Petticord came out of the boys room he said
Bo , Daisy i got some bad news unfortunetly Luke has the flu i have given
him some medicene for the body aches , the fever, and the cough unfortunetly Luke is gonna be in bed for awhile since he is weak and if you would tell Jesse the news when he gets back i would appricate it ",
then Bo replied " sure will Doc drive easy now ", then Bo looked at Daisy
and said " Daisy Uncle Jesse ain't gonna like this since he was sure hoping
that Luke wouldn't get it and i sure hope Luke don't get too sick from it.

Bo and Daisy was worried about Luke like everybody was at the moment they was just good at covering it up right now. Luke was so sick and they had heard that he had the Flu that half the county was down right now.
Uncle Jesse was worried sick right now and what if something would happen to Luke it just wouldn't be the same around Hazzerd.
Cue Kitty

Luke's fever put him into a comatosed sleep state he was not feeling good
just to make matters worse his throat was starting to bother him , his stomach hurt , he had body aches to boot they hurt really bad Meanwhile in the Kitchen Uncle Jesse was fixing some chicken noodle soup
Bo was worrying out of his mind over Luke since he caught the deadly flu,
and unfortunetly Daisy had to go work over at the Boars Nest hoping that it would take her mind off of Luke being sick even though it did little good.

Back at the farm : Luke was sill sleeping in bed with a high fever , body aches, and sore throat he slept through lunch so it was near supper time meanwhile uncle Jesse was making his way into the boys room to check
luke's temperature when he saw that Luke was still asleep he hated waking him he said " Luke , Luke, c'mon wake up boy i need to check your
temp. so Luke slowly opened his burning red eyes then he said in a scratchy voice "hey.... un...cle Jesse i feel so weak , my eyes hurt ",
then Uncle Jesse replied " i know Luke could you open your mouth for me
now so i can check to see if your fever has gone down ".

Then Luke opened his mouth then Uncle Jesse put the thermometer in
he waited about 15 minutes before taking it out unfortunetly instead of his fever going down it went up to 103 which is bad .

" Oh lord Luke i have some bad news for you your fever has gone up so
i want you to stay in bed try to get plenty of rest okay how about some chicken noodle soup and some iced tea for your throat ?", then luke said "
that's sounds good", then he suddenly began to shiver again so uncle Jesse began to cover him good with blankets then walked out.

Daisy was at the Boars Nest keeping her mind off of Luke being so sick and that she didn't want Uncle Jesse, Bo or herself getting next. Her best friend had been pretty sick with it and she never did get any better with the Flu.

The Next Morning Bo was awake along with everybody else and Bo was trying to wake up Luke. He still had a high fewer but he won't wake up now, and Bo was trying to wake up his cousin. By Uncle Jesse had came to their room to see what the problem and he tried to wake up Luke but he couldn't either so he decided to call the Doc and see if he could make a housecall. Bo was still upset and wander is Luke was ever going to get better, and he thought that Hazzerd wouldn't be same with Luke.

Meanwhile over at Doc. Petticords office the phone rang so he picked up
" Doc Petticord speaking", " Amos it's me Jesse Luke's fever has gone up to 103 now when Bo went to wake him this morning he wouldn't stir",
then Doc Petticord replied " Well Jesse that don't sound good if i can't get
Luke's fever to go down the next step would be to put him in the hospital.

Meanwhile in the boys room Bo was trying to wake Luke up still
he was thinking of giving up when he heard Luke make a moan so Bo said
" Luke , Luke, can you hear me ?", unfortunetley Luke didn't respond
but he did cough some which was from his sore throat Bo was so worried
since Luke's immune system was having difficulty in fighting this bad bug.

About 15 minutes later Doc. Petticord came then Uncle Jesse quickly took
him to Bo and Luke's room Bo looked up when he came Bo said " hey doc
Luke has gotton worse and I sure hope you can fix him ", then Bo and Uncle Jesse stepped out of the way so he could tend to Luke .

So Doc tried waking Luke up by shining a light but he didn't open them
then he took out his sethoscope he listened to his breathing it was okay,
but he figured he try one more time to wake up Luke so he gave him a few gentle shakes but all he got out of it was a couple of moans.

[Dusty Rose Duke]

Dusty Rose Duke arrived at the Duke farm happy as a blue bird. She knew that race last Saturday was the best thing that happened to her. But for Dusty, for the past week she felt drowzy and couldn't keep anything down. Rosco told her to go see her Uncle Jesse and see what he could do. She kissed Rosco goodbye and made her way to the farm. So now that she was here, she felt she would fall a sleep in Ridge Runner. She shook her head, climed out of the window and walked toward the house. Dusty staggered a bit. "Uncle Jesse! Dasiy anyone home." Dusty said in a shaky voice. She then heard Bo trying to tell Luke to wake up. Dusty walked to Bo and Luke's room. She then found Luke in ghostly pale and she didn't look good herself. "Uncle Jesse is Luke ok?" Dusty ask her Uncle. "We don't know baby." Jesse answered. All of a sudden the world started to spin and Dusty went ghostly pale as Luke and collasped on the floor at Jesse's feet

Doc Petticord had came out and he was expecting to see just Luke sick but there was Dusty sick as well. Uncle Jesse was asking her how you came if you was sick, Doc Petticord had seen Luke and says " Now Jesse, your nephew is getting worse I am afraid your going to have him hospitalize for him to get better. And Dusty you better let take a look at you as well, you look pale as well."
Uncle Jesse just then noticed that Dusty was sick as well, and he couldn't believe that she decided to come and visit her Uncle right now.
Cue Kitty.

[Dusty Rose Duke]

"Uncle Jesse I wanted to come. But I didn't know I was this sick." Dusty said as she coughed. "I went to see Rosco when came back from Rexton County. He told me to come here and see what Uncle Jesse could do." Dusty said with a weak smile. "Uncle Jesse, you always seem to make me feel better when I'm sick." Dusty smile up at her uncle.

But Dusty you fainted eariler and your about as sick as Luke, I don't want to have to worry about you as well. But, too late I am allreadry worried about you and it's good to see why not see what Doc Petticord says.

Cue Dusty Rose Duke

[Dusty Rose Duke]

"Ok Uncle Jesse." Dusty said with a weak voice. Then she remembered. "Oh Uncle Jesse I can't stay in bed this was just a visit. I have another race in two days in Choctaw County." Dusty said as she struggled to get up from the bed. At that time Rosco had come to see if Dusty was alright. As he walked into Dusty room to see her trying to get up. "Dusty I am your Doctor and I say you are to stay in that bed." Doc Petticord said firmly. Rosco rushed to her bed side. "But I have a race.." Dusty said but was easily pushed back by Rosco. "Roasco as her Doctor, I'm ordering you to keep her in that bed." Doc Petticord said to Rosco.

Luke was really tired and he was just achy all over, and he had woken up and now everybody had noticed by now. Uncle Jesse had seem Luke was awake and he asking how come nobody woke me up sooner. Uncle Jesse says " Oh, Doc Petticord was concerned that you might be getting any better Luke and besides now Dusty is sick and she still wants to race as well."
Uncle Jesse was thinking to himself what I am going to do, two or sick and Dusty still wants race even though she is sick right now.
Uncle Jesse says "Oh No, Luke your fever is still high and it actually go higher since last time. And the docter is very concerned about you right now."
Luke says " Oh, I feel miserable right now and I hope nobody else in the house get this Flu here."
cue Kitty

[Dusty Rose Duke]

"Ya Uncle Jesse. Luke's right." Dusty said in a weak voice. "Rosco go back to the office. I don't want you to get sick to." Dusty said as she wealy tried to push rosco towards the the door. "Dusty honey I have orders to stay right ter." Rosco stated firmly. "Who told you to?" Dusty said. "Well Doc Petticord of course." Rosco told her as he wiped her head. "Well I can't stay here. I got a race to go to, so excuse me." Dusty proclaimed as she struggled to get out of bed.

Dusty was still insisting in going to that race and Rosco was trying to tell she was to sick to go the race after all. Uncle Jesse always knew that she was the most stubborn of all his nieces and nephews she took the cake on being stubborn.
Cue Kitty

[Dusty Rose Duke]

Dusty was your tippical Duke. She was the most stubborn one out of the whole bunch. But Rosco was a Coltrane. ANd he loved Dusty with all his heart. He knew that she was a good driver. He also knew was a blamed. stubborn, mule head, fool of a woman when she was sick. But Rosco had a secret to that. He could be just as stubborn in fact even worse. "Dusty you are goin to stay right ter." Rosco said firmly. Dusty stared wide eyed at him. Rosco had never spoke firmly to her before. So as not to get him mad, she laid back down in the bed and let him tuck her in. "Now Dusty you stay here until I get back. I'm going to my car to change out of my uniform." Rosco said as he left for his car.

Dusty says "Hey, Daisy you know anybody that would be able to fill in for me in Ridge Runner if I give where the race is at."

Rosco was back from changing and he had just heard Dusty make this offer right here and he was a little intersected but he had his work to do. Bo says "Dusty, what about Daisy here she sure is good driver?"
Daisy says "Me, Bo I don't know about this and besides I think if Dusty is sign-up then she ought to just skip it."

Dusty says "Daisy, you know I was thinking all they got is D. Duke right now so if you was to enter it wouldn't be lying."
cue Kitty

Daisy says "Allright I do this for this time but I'm really not intersected in racing Dusty but just for you."

Uncle Jesse says "You know Daisy isn't really much into racing as much as Bo and Luke. Daisy are sure you know what you are doing with this right here."

Daisy says "I'll okay with Uncle Jesse besides we can't let a Duke be a no-show for a race as right now."
Cue Kitty

[Dusty Rose Duke]

Rosco laughed and sat next to Dusty on the bed. He propted himself against the headboard and drew Dusty towards him. "The day a Duke is a no show at a race, is the day I'll sing Waylon Jennings songs all day." Rosco said with grin. Dusty looked up at him and gave him one of her own. "Rosco honey, I'm gonna hold you to that." Dusty said in a weak voice.

Daisy was looking at the stuff that Dusty had for the race and wondering if there was a better map around her anywhere. Dusty and Rosco was still talking and she had said to herself that she bring home the prize with Ridge Runner do one better than just show up for the race.

Dusty looked at Daisey and smiled weakly. "Please just try not to crash my baby." Dusty said as Daisey walked out of her room.

I drive the General pretty good and it's the same car basicly and besides I'm could go into racing if I really want to Dusty. Daisy walks out and is keeping in mind what her cousin had told her and that she wasn't the one Dusty should worry about. She sure wished her cousins would get better pretty soon, and Bo had seen that Daisy was about to leave and he went to tell her some pointers.

Uncle Jesse had Luke and Dusty sick with the whatever is going around and he was getting Chicken soup ready. He knew that they wouldn't be but it would help them out with how there feeling. Bo had seen if he could help Uncle Jesse out with something and Uncle Jesse says "Just don't get what Luke and Dusty has right now. I hope Daisy handles ridge runner in the race all right for Dusty when she goes. Bo, can you take this into Dusty for me."
Bo says "Sure Uncle Jesse I will take this right there and Daisy can handle ridge runner pretty good and she'll be okay."

Uncle Jesse walks into Bo and Luke's room in which he had the soup with him had wander how stubborn Luke would be right now or if he want the soup right now.
Meanwhile Daisy is getting everything together to get ready for race she is going to race in for her cousin Dusty. She had looked at the map and Bo as usual was helping but her cousins car was just like the general. Daisy had wandered what Dusty would say when she come back to the farm with first prize in the race.
Cue Kitty

Luke meanwhile was out cold still due to his high fever that Uncle Jesse was hoping that the soup would bring down so when arrived at Luke's bed
he said " Luke i need you wake up boy i got you some chicken soup ?",
but unfortunetely Luke didn't wake up so Uncle Jesse tried again finally
Luke opened one eye half way he said " Uncle Jesse i ain't hungry now ",
then he said " Luke you gotta eat something to bring that fever down.

So Luke said in a sleepy voice " Okay i'll try to eat some of the soup",
Luke took small bites of the noodles which he couldn't taste some since the broth was helping his nose open up he coughed some due to his throat
but he said " Uncle Jesse it tastes really "cough" good but the broth is making me cough too much then my chest hurts so i can't eat anymore",
Then Uncle Jesse said " well that's okay you eat enough i'll just leave the soup here incase you get hungry again later now try to get some sleep.

Julie had came in to see her sister and she was tired and she looked pale today. She sure was glad that she listen to Uncle Jesse and Rosco about her being sick and she kept assuring that she be'll okay at the race now that has been sick she was going to pack for the race.

Cue Anybody

[Julieduke]

Luke was feeling terrible and he wish that he could go and help Bo with what he was doing. But he was sick and as much as he didn't want to admit he wasn't going to get any better running around doing everything.

Julie walks in and says "Hey Luke, how is everything, you Dusty is letting Daisy fill in for her and she says that she don't want her car wrecked after I got done."

So Luke looked up at Julie and said " Hey Julie "Cough" I don't feel very much like talking right now so if you would excuse me I'm gonna take a nap ".
About 20 minutes later Luke fell into a deep sleep due to his high fever and Bo was just finishing up his chores and Luke's Bo wishes that Luke was better instead of going downhill but his immune system is having a tough time fighting this deadly flu bug that half the town has come down with.
