I started watching this show because of the '67 Impala in it. I got some bias there. But I've been pleased to find that this show is very well-written, and chock-full of tension, surprise, and drama.
The central characters, Sam and Dean, are two brothers who roam the country in a vintage Chevy, on an endless mission to disrupt evil phenomena wherever it may lurk. Sam, the younger brother, is a boyish youth recently jaded by loss, but not quite over his ideals yet. Dean is the older, protective brother who's been jaded a lot longer than Sam. Together, they remind me of the dark Dukes of suburbia.
For those of you who've never seen the show, let me paint a brief picture of what these two modern-day exorcists do. Last episode, they returned to their haunted childhood home to fight a Lurking Evil that threatens the new homeowner. ( A helpless blonde single mother of two. What nice boys. ) Anyway, after things like knives flying out of the kitchen drawer and furniture moving around on it's own - Sam becomes trapped in the house by Something Evil that is trying to kill him.
Dean, locked outside, runs to the trunk of the Impala and grabs nothing less than a sawed-off shotgun and an axe, and hacks his way through the front door in a desperate fury to save his brother.
A shotgun and an axe. YEEEHAAAA!! Now that's entertainment.
Man, the Dukes only had compound bows and hunting knives. If Bo and Luke had this trunkful of artillery in the General Lee, ol' Rosco woulda kept his distance.

I have to agree with everything you said about Supernatural. I started watching it because the premise seemed interesting but now I am totally hooked. If not for the spook factor but also for the intersting twists and turns in the mystery of their father.
The eye candy aspect is quite nice too! It makes the show REALLY easy to watch! LOL! :P
The last episode was especially creepy!

Ok... I've been sort of following this show as well. It's got two hot guys, plots that sell suspense and a kicking classic car, (not to metion it's a chevy). What else could a gal ask for on a Tuesday night?
The question I have as a fan fic writer here on Hnet is this. Who the heck is wire tapping mine and my friends computers?!
I don't know if anyone else saw last night's episode but there was a character on there with Dean and Sam that could have been a compound of two fan fic created characters that run around Hnet! I'm not going to drop names or anything, but if you watched the show and saw the character you'd know what people I'm talking about!
There was a moment where that character had hand cuffed Dean and I was like... 'Ok... this is too freaky!'
Is it just me or are we being spied on? Is WB reading Hazzardnet and getting inspiration?

Val, there has been some....supernatural coincidence, in some respects. There are a handful of people who probably see the similarities. Some of those similarities, though, are like a fry pan over the head.
In fact, last week's episode was a cross between "Daisy's Shotgun Wedding" and the ol' classic flick, "Deliverance." Imagine the Beaudry's from Dukes of Hazzard as being cannibalistic manhunters for sport. THEN ya start gettin' the picture. In fact, the Evil Patriarch Hillbilly on last week's Supernatural ep, could have been the evil impersonation of a certain uncle in Hazzard County...
http://pic13.picturetrail.com/VOL489/4138106/9090576/130314249.jpg
And if these two bad ol' boys are cousins, we're better off not knowing...
http://pic13.picturetrail.com/VOL489/4138106/9090576/130314151.jpg
Fun, eh? You know what was cool about this ep, is there weren't any evil spirts, there were no ghosts, no demons. It was just the Winchester boys against some psychotic, murderous, fun-lovin' hillbillies. Oh, but the good guys had some help. There was this female deputy in this small town, ya see....

There were definately some moments that felt familair between certain characters. I guess when you boil it all down, the coincidences are fun to entertain.

Yes Brian... you summed that episode up good. Now I see the WB is moving supernatural from Tuesday to Thursday. Guess where the time slot is, uh huh... ya'll guessed it, right after Smallville. Funny how alot of us Duke fans are Smallville watchers and SN watchers as well... Hhhhhmm... I think I'm starting to get goose bumps here. Alright, what were the people at WB thinking now? Is this just another random event that just happened to be or is there something to this? True, Beauty and the Geek was at the end of it's season because of the contest being over and they needed a fill in, but why SN? Is WB actually spying on us...?
Ok... as a 'fun' and friendly test of the almighty WB powers, I issue this 'challenge' to the people creating Supernatural and that might be spying on us. I will officially freak out if I see John Schneider appear on a Supernatural episode.
If it happens, I will be convinced that we are being spied on. Plus, it would be nice to see John on the small screen again, now that he's not doing the Johnathan Kent thing anymore. Anywho...
Alright... 'Almighty WB', show us what you're made of? I scoff at thee... *scoff, scoff, scoff*... (ok, I'm just getting carried away here now, but think about my proposal here, wouldn't it be interesting?)
So wether this happens or not... It would be fun to test this hypothesis.

It's an Impala, not a Chevelle, but yeah....nothin' like smackin' it broadside with a semi to trash a classic car. Bastards. I'm really hoping they used a model for filming that, but the scene happened so fast I couldn't really tell.
Looks like Supernatural will be back for a second season this fall. Season 1 will be coming out on DVD in a few months too.

Ok, anyone see the season opener of SN? Wow! There were too many tense moments in that ep. but who would ever thought that the dad scarifices himself for his son? Plus, how cute was Dean in those jammies!
Just for fun, I'd love to see a show of hands girls on how many of us wanted to tear that t-shirt off of Dean? *Raises hand high*
The drama, the suspence and the Ouija board?
I love the slumber party comment, reminded me of someone else who might say that if he was in Dean's predictament.

I saw the season premiere last week. Yeah, it was heavy, tense and about as melodramatic as it gets. I mean, not every father would sacrifice himself to a demon lord to save his son's life.
The episode gave a nod to it's borrowing from the movie "Ghost" , when Dean, in spirit-form, bashes a glass to smithereens and then goes, "I totally Swayze'd that sucker!"
And was it just me, or was that Reaper chick and her calm pleadings for Dean to cross over, like he was supposed to, the most blood-curdling, spookiest thing in the whole ep? AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!
This was great writing. So much for the hooded reaper with the scythe; here we see a manifestation of Death that is alluring, understanding...and acting in the best interest of the dying. She tells Dean that he must cross over, though she can't tell him what awaits on the other side. When Dean remains stubborn, she warns him that if he chooses to remain behind, he'll die all the same, and his spirit will go mad, trapped on an earth he can no longer interact with. He risks becoming an angry, twisted spirit...becoming that which he has hunted.
The coldness of Death is also put very bluntly. Dean protests that his brother will die without him. The Reaper doesn't change her expression, and simply answers, "Maybe he will. Maybe he won't. " While she is understanding, there is a limit to the compassion, and Dean's personal thoughts on dying won't change What Is To Be.
Eventually we see Dean's fear getting the best of him. He's starting to succumb, he's looking afraid and helpless, and he turns to the Reaper as if to finally submit to his fate....
And then ....well, really, you should watch this show!
On other topics, I'm gratified that Sam insisted on "fixing the Impala." Yay! On a Supernatural message board, I saw the car referenced as "another main character of the show." Heh heh.
Hey Val, you really like Dean there, don't ya ? Admit it, you love him for his car....
Can't wait to see more creepy @#$& on this week's episode!

On a total aside, I don't think much of The WB becoming "The New CW." I realize this is a result of a WB and CBS station fornication, but dammit! I've never seen so many commercials during a 1 hr program in my life.
And when a show as tense and edgy as Supernatural is interrupted every seven minutes, with five minutes of commercials ( half of them being for other CW shows) ...it's as aggravating as all get-out.
Note to any lurking WB/CBS folks, I know you're out there...
The CW SUCKS!!! Clean up the commecial interruptions. Man, I used to think the old PAX-TV stations were bad.
Why don't you just make a Commercial Channel? I'm serious, all commercials, all the time, why dink around? You could have the "Best of Detergent" commercial hour, followed by "Franchise Restaurant Commercial Awards, 2006." And not to forget, "Retro Commercial Classics." Everything from the smarmy Little Ceasar's Pizza and Wendy's commercials of the 80's ( Where's the beef? ) to the old classic black-and-whites.
Of course, that's just perversely clever enough to be successful, which means ya won't do it. THHBPTH!!! :P

Dang right! It's all about the Chevys baby! *laughs*
Now if only he gets a pigtailed girl friend that drives a dark green Chevelle, that would be cool. *chuckles*
The fun thing about this show is it can go where ever the writers want it to. There are no real bounds or limits with their creativity on this one and the audience has no preconceived notions as to what exactly is going to happen next. The writers to this show are obviously very talented and give the viewer some familiarity on ghosts and demons, from prior shows or common wive's tale knowledge about specters but still there are new things that they put in there to twist it up and make the show refreshing and cool.
Well, I really look forward to seeing more and watching on Thursday.

In addition to giving credit for some great writing on this show - we have to give credit to the actors, too. I remarked early on that Sam and Dean were not unlike an urban, edgy, Bo and Luke, in some respects. (though in a far more serious environment.)
In a nutshell, there's good chemistry in Supernatural and the characters are believable as family members.
My main concern for this show - is that it could write itself into a corner by spending so much of its good stuff early.
At the end of Season One, we saw the Impala get T-boned by a semi truck, and at the opener of Season Two, we saw Dean nearly die, and not for the first time in the series. ( though by far this was the most dramatic and closest near-miss yet.)
There's only so many ways you can bash up the car and have it plausibly fixed. Only so many times you can almost kill a character. Supernatural entertains with shock and surprise, but all the big-ticket eeks are getting used up fast. ( I'm sure Sam will have his turn flirting with oblivion for the Season Two cliffhanger.)
Another challenge is maintaining the continuity. Supernatural has done an effective job of keeping things fresh while having a progressive order to the episodes. Sooner or later though, either the Objective Is Met , or too many complications occur and storylines fragment on the least tangent. (I think Smallville is guilty of the latter, IMO.) Continuity is a double-edged sword, which may explain why something as light as Dukes of Hazzard was wise to avoid it.
Awright, I'm done analyzing this for awhile. Meadowmufn's gonna think I'm bucking for a moderator job over at the Supernatural site.

Just a quick comment on last week's episode. It was fun seeing the brothers Winchester return to Wisconsin. Guess there's some continuity right there, as this was their 3rd visit to the Weirdness State.
I'm serious, WI is weird, and it would make a perfect home base of sorts. (Hell, the X-files pemiere episode took place in Wisconsin.) Ghost stories come out of WI by the score; numerous books have been written on paranormal subjects there. Everything in WI is haunted. It's an accepted fact of life. If you ask people in WI if they believe in ghosts, not only will they say, "yes," but they'll tell you about the ones that they personally know.
Anyhow - the tavern that the Winchesters visited wasn't clearly defined as being in WI. But while there, they described a certain WI town as "not being far from here." I'm just curious about that tavern location, though, as it would explain the guy with the mullet haircut who was sleeping on the pool table.
All in all, it was another tension-filled episode, being the creepier for the Evil Clown gig. Cheesy as that sounds, they did a great job with it.
My only disappointment in the show, was in the insane number of commericials. And now, excuse me while I speak directly to the Spirts Which Haunt this forum....
HEY! THE CW STILL SUCKS!! But I have to give ya this much, the first 1/2 of the show wasn't interrupted as bad. So we got to see things unfold and get settled with the mood. In the last 20 minutes or so, however - particularily in the last 1/4 hour - the commercials buried the show. There was no progam. And what the hell is the point of so many commercials for other CW shows, while interrupting the current program to do it? That's redundant. What makes you think I'm going to watch another CW show after choking on all the commercials in my favorite program? I'd rather eat fire ants. You know the message I'm REALLY getting from your commercials, is that there's too many of them!
CW, do more internet advertising where people can click to see a brief sample of a show in your new lineup. You could also track the interest better. And online, instead of a commercial, it becomes free entertainment. Take a page out of the iTunes book and let people browse your programs, see clips, and get details. You'll save valuable airtime. Instead of trying to promote umpteen shows during a show, you only need to promote your website. I know you guys are listening, so take this as constructive feedback. Thank ya.

HEY CW !!
The commercial balance was better on tonight's Supernatural ep! I'm serious. It's the most reasonable in spacing and duration that I've seen since the new season begain.
And now, concerning the usual babble. It was sweet to see that Impala back. Nice pick on the songs, too. "Wheel in the Sky" and "Back in Black." Very appropriate.
Anybody else waiting for Dean to explode from angst? I think this Unresolved Grief thing is gonna lead somewhere bad. Also dug the moral paradox with the advesarial hunter. As if the brothers Winchester didn't have enough enemies.
Oh, on an side...I got the Supernatural Season One DVD set for my birthday. Just with what I've seen so far, it's well worth the purchase for any SuperNatural fan. Yeeehaaaaa.

I first started watching Supernatural here about a month or two ago, even though I don't have the CW or even the WB back when it was on there so my viewing was minimum till I got the season one set. When Supernatural first came out I'd have to say I wasn't at all interested in it but then a friend of mine told me to check it out because of how good it was so I decided, eh I'll give it a go.
What can I say? After the first few episodes I was hooked on it. No one could tear me away from it. I now am able to watch season 2 which so far I'm finding very well written and entertaining, full of drama and excitement. Something that I always liked.
And heck the car is great. I like the Impala about as much as I like the General Lee. Sometimes even more. And Jensen Ackles(Dean) and Jared Padalecki(Sam) do a great job at playing their characters. All in all it's a great show and I love it

I fought the Supernatural....
Not literally.....
But I refused to watch it. Shook my head, crossed my arms, stomped my foot and refused. For months. For the entire first season.
My lovely friend.... who's post is right up there above mine..... convinced me to watch it. I'll admit however. I've never seen an episode on TV. I've watched on youtube.com.
I watched the entire first half of season one in less than twenty four hours. It was addictive. I couldn't tear myself away from it. I HAD to find out what the next episode would bring.
Part of why I enjoyed it so much, is the chemistry between the brothers. It's entirly believable. I mean, if I had a brother, I could imagine behaving somthing like that. Anyways..... staying on topic is not a strong suit of mine.
They manage to keep the show comedic, at the right moments, without smacking you on the head with it. In a show that revolves around death, bashing things and shootin stuff (with that infamous sawed-off shotgun) they can't stick with that and that alone. People would OD on drama.
"Name one kid that you even know.."
*Dean thinks. Thinks. Thinks.*
*Sam walks away.*
*Dean thinks more.* "No wait! I'm thinking...."
 Good fun. Don't hurt yourself there pal....
Oh and for the record... the car is the star.

Amanda, you're right about the humor. This show has plenty of it. In between all the angst there's always some unexpected quip or a lighter moment.
One of my favorite examples of that, is the time Dean stuck a plastic spoon on the end of Sam's nose, while he was napping, then snapped a picture of it with his camera phone. Dean managed all this while he was driving the Impala and Sam was snoozin' in the passenger seat. What's more fun than a road trip with family, eh?
Tonight's episode, "The Usual Suspects" , had it's share of chuckles. Without taking time to cover the whole plot, all I can say is I had a feeling how Dean's "confession" was going to go with the cops before he opened his mouth.
Hearing Sam and Dean call each other by X-File names cracked me up. Though there was some debate on who should be Scully.
I'm waiting for those two to start in with the Dukes of Hazzard references. In the future of this show, there has to be some run-in with it eventually. C'mon Dean, give us a "Yeeehaaa!" just once behind the wheel of that Impala. I know you want to.....
In fact, my one disappointment with tonight's ep, is that it was without the Impala. And maybe I'm nuts, but the whole show felt just a little "off" without it.
For my money, I'd love to see more action scenes with the car. One of my favorite episodes is "Route 666" , due to the car chase. Dean is fleeing from a phantom truck. It's on a narrow country road at night, the road is wet, and while Dean is driving for his life, Sam's elsewhere on the cell phone with him, trying to tell him where to turn next, taking a wild guess on what might might stop the evil truck. Dean finally holds his ground with the Impala, letting it rumble in idle, while the phantom truck's headlights stare him down. Suddenly the truck roars forward for the head-on kill..... and man, if you don't already watch this show, yer missin' some good stuff.
HEY CW! Commercial balance remains at decent intervals. Thank you! Of course I always wish there were fewer commercials, but at least the interruptions are minimal.
Next week's ep looks wild n' creepy. Dean finds himself at a literal crossroads to make his own bargain with a demon. Doesn't seem like a good idea, does it?

I have to say tonight's episode was fantastic and full of it's usual suspense. I could see what it was doing to Dean, having to deal with the guilt that his father had given his life up for his. I felt bad for what Dean must have been going through.

watched last night's episode and I'd have to say it's my favorite so far this season. The action and suspense in it had me hanging on throughout the whole thing and kept me wanting more. I can't wait to find out what the big secret is that John told Dean in the end of the season premiere. The writer's do know how to keep everyone coming back for more.
There of course were some good lines delivered by Dean as well as some good brother moments. I can't wait till Supernatural returns in January. From what I hear it will be the 14th.

:o Last night's episode was soooo good! It had everything Supernatural should have, even a 180 from Dean in the good ol Impala. I think I squealed on that one, to completly honest. But... in the interest of good reveiwing skills.... (Im trying, honest.)
Ye old brothers Winchester, were on the hunt yet again (what else do they do besides drink beer?), following one of Sam's premonitions (sp). Now, This is the first episode of the new season that I have seen, so I had to fill myself in along the way... but I think I got the jist of it.
Dean's tired of hunting, chasing things, worrying about when his brother's gonna die.... which would be hard on anyone. But they come across life and death situations every day, that would be taxing.
(Is it just me or does this look like I'm making a big fat mess? Yes... ok... I'm sorry.... :( )
But, back to the story, Dean made a promise to their dad before he died, protect Sammy. And he's holding up his end of the bargain. I don't really want to say to much to give away the episode.... but... long story short. THe boys travel to a small Oregon town and discover a possibly demonic virus being transmitted to the residents through blood to blood contact.
There's a story, a legend about a demon known as Croatoan (correct me if I am wrong) The story says that in town much like River Grove Oregon, where Dean and Sam find themselves in this episode, was wiped out completely, everything was destroyed overnight, the only thing remaining, the word Croatoan carved into a tree.
But Im not telling you what happened! :P Hehehe
The most memorable lines:
"My neighbour, Mr. Rogers..."
"You have a neighbour named Mr. Rogers?"
"Not anymore..."

The Thurs 01/25 ep looks good, comin' up. Here's a synopsis:
Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) investigate a string of robberies with a disturbing pattern, in each incident a trusted employee holds up the bank then commits suicide.
I saw a preview of this ep. Sam and Dean were trapped in a bank, surrounded by a SWAT team. Need I say more.
On an aside, thanks to CW's screwing up of every show handed to it by WB, it looks like the fate of Supernatural is in doubt. Whether or not a third season will be bankrolled remains to be seen. The show's ratings have dropped since CW's takeover - but frankly all of WB's shows have dropped since CW's takeover. Supernatural, however, may be too edgy for mass-market appeal, and therefore not profitable enough in attracting advertisers.
Personally I think that's baloney, but often those who decide the fate of a show, are those who've never seen an episode. It's all about ratings and revenue. (and even that win-win combo didn't save the Dukes from cancellation after season 7.)
The jury is still out for Sam and Dean. The February ratings will have a lot to do on whether or not Supernatural creeps into a third season - or becomes its own ghost.

Just a quick note, last week's ep, "Night Shifter" ROCKED. The beginning was a little slow. But once the main chaos kicked in, it kept getting more intense by the minute. This ep combined weirdness with a cops n' robbers shoot-em-up, and the effect was a double-whammy of action and suspense.
If this show doesn't make it a third season, it won't be the writer's fault.

"Born Under a Bad Sign" is the new Supernatural episode airing tonight. In this one, Sam is freaking out and turning evil, though his memory blacks out and he can't recall his actions. What's not to like?
Meanwhile, I keep hoping for more car chases. Last week's ep had a brief, but cool car chase. The combination of angst, drama, spookifyin' special effects, gun shootouts and squealing tires is a helluva mix. Supernatural might be finding a plot formula for long success.
The CW execs, however, are the biggest boogeymen Sam and Dean will ever face.
Hey, CW! Can you keep the promos for "Everybody Hates Chris" from taking up half the airtime of other shows? You're not endearing me to "Veronica Mars" either despite shoving it down our throats 5 times an hour. How about leaving room for commercial endorsements that actually make you money? Then maybe we can see more of the program we're trying to watch in the process.
TIVO!! I must get Tivo before CW drives me insane with the curse of the repetitive commercials!

Get ready for weird! Tonight, the brothers Winchester use tabloid newspaper clues to track down....who-knows-what.

I don't know what to expect in this one. But do we ever?

Unforuntatly, because I decided to take the evening shift at work( 4am wakeups were not working for me), and Thurs off are rare. And I can't afford Tivo right now either. I've completly dropped off the Supernatural circuit. Still love the show. Still keeping up with what's going on via websites, but I'm going to have to late until the DVD comes to watch the episodes.
Rumors going around Jenson Ackles will be in the next Resident Evil movie, for all you horror and cult film nuts like myself.

"Tall Tales" is one of the best eps yet!
Next new episode isn't scheduled until March 15th...

"Tall Tales" was the most bizarre and silly episode to date. I'm not sure yet if I liked it or not, but I did find some moments pretty damn funny.
It's also amazing to think about the list of enemies the Winchesters are earning. Feds, cops...then, other evil-hunters.....and now, they've run afoul of a demigod?
Where do ya go from there?
And as important as this time of the year is, for ratings...why is Supernatural relying on reruns again until March 15? Granted I don't watch a lot of TV and maybe this is more common then I think.
On another note, March 15 brings in a guest star from the Sci-Fi channel. A sign, perhaps, of things to come? Will CW drop Supernatural and Sci-Fi pick it up? Early speculation, but it would seem a more suitable fit in some ways.
As long as we're not going to see that "probed by aliens" joke run into the ground.

Oh man... Was it just me, or did ya feel like you were watching 'Old Yeller' at the end of the episode.
Warning it is a tear jerker and will make you choke up at the end. No we weren't bawling like a baby but it was so sad to watch Sam come to realization that sometimes his 'job' of hunting demons is going to run him down a difficult road. We already have seen this kind of dilemma with Dean but now Sam is faced with the challenge of 'wasting' something that he has grown to have affection, or 'love' as you would call it for.
I'm not going to tell you how this ends and ruin it for you, but I tell you to make sure you have a box of tissues with you.
On another side note, the steamy love scenes were pretty well done for a show that probably carries an 'R' to 'PG-13' rating, depending on the episode. Boy does Jared (Sam) have arms... Mmmmm... *shakes head slightly at the mental image* Ahem... any who... It was a good episode in my mind.

If you missed the episode "Hunted", where Dean is captured by an enemy hunter, who is using him as bait to bag Sam - don't miss it again! It's on Thursday, April 5th on the CW.
This episode, like dang near all of them, is chock-full of angst and suspense. Well worth the hour.
As Val mentioned, a prior ep called "Heart" was filled with unexpected twists and romance and....well, some steamy moments, to put it bluntly. So far, though, the Winchester boys do about as well as the Dukes when it comes to keeping a serious romance going.
Anyhow! While digging around for SuperNatural stuff - I found a link about somebody's visit to the set. Has some pics too.

It's kinda early to let the black cat out of the bag, because we're not done with it, but....
Mufn and I have been sketching out a Supernatural website, and we hope to have it ready by the time the 3rd season starts. By posting this pre-announcement we'll obligate ourselves to getting it done.
As in the tradition of HazzardNet, the new SuprNatural site will bring you a photo gallery, along with news, forums, editorials and fan feedback. All delivered with an edge that says yer not in Kansas anymore....

The site will have anything the fans' little hearts desire, as long as it doesn't violate the TOS of my webhosting company. ROFL.

The third season of Supernatural will start airing early October. Argh! Jeeze, any later, and they could just skip to the Christmas special.
The only bright spot in the wait, is it gives us more time to work on our website. But there's all kinds of news for the show that I'll roll out here in the meantime, as we go.
In addition to the comic book, "Beginnings", there is a SuperNatural magazine coming out in September. Also, two new female "co-stars" have been announced - much to the chagrin of fangirls everywhere - but whether they will be intermittent characters or every-week hangers-on, remains to be seen.

The new season of Supernatural starts October 4th, though I'm not liking the fact that they're airing it a week later then the Smallville premiere, but oh well.
I'm looking forward to season 3 and seeing how these two new girls are going to fit into the show and what exactly will happen at the end of season 3 since Dean has made this deal and only has one year to live. I'm very interested in finding out how exactly they might get Dean out of that deal.
Thankfully we now have less then three weeks till the new season starts. I'm re-watching my season one DVD and I just got season two so they'll hold me over till the start of the new season. Also on Tuesday I'll be picking up the new books that are out, plus possibly the Supernatural magazine, though not positive on that yet.
I don't want to give too much away about the third season yet so if anyone wants any spoilers just send me a pm. That way I won't be spoiling anyone else.

Yesterday I saw the 5th and 6th episode and noticed that Sam had a broken arm (actually, in the previous one he told that maybe he broke his hand) so I thought: there isn't a particular reason to make it happen 'cause they don't talk about that during those episodes, so maybe the actor Jared Padaleky broke his arm, too?
And, if yes, do you know how it happened?

I think Supernatural might have "jumped the shark" tonight. It was a cool episode, but talk about getting Dean in over his head. Like way over.
At the end of the last season, Dean dies and goes to hell. (this is a fairly standard Winchester family tradition by this point.) In tonight's season opener....pow! He's outta there in the first few minutes of the program, alive and whole, and we get to scratch our heads for the next 40 minutes wondering how that neat trick was accomplished.
When it's explained, it's so over the top, that you have to wonder how this latest entrant to the war on free-range demons is going to mix with the show's usual tone. Or how Dean is going to get along with the particular chaperone he's picked up.
Let's just say there's "touched by an angel" and then there's "cast-iron fry pan over the head by an angel."

Did anybody watch last night "In The Beginning" well I noticed that his grandparents names were Deanna and Samuel which is similar to the two brothers names as well. And then it weird that Dean got to see his parents when they was younger, it should've been Sammy going back to meet his Mom not Dean thow. But that kind of cool when his father first buys the Impala as well, I couldn't seen Winchester brothers riding in a VW Bus that wouldn't be right now. And what kind of spell did the demon have over dean that he couldn't get out of the chair he looked very uncomfortable in the one the scene.

Wouldn't it be cool if they ever did a Smallville/Supernatural Crossover episode where the Winchesters appear as guest stars on Smallville and some the ones from Smallville appear on Supernatural. They could have where Sam and Dean is one lead that takes then to Smallville, Kansas and Dean jokes around about the name of the town. But Sam tells that's not funny to him sounding all proper and everything.
