Sherriff Grady?

I was watching the episode Jude Emery the other night on CMT, and I was wondering about this. First, who is Sherriff Grady? Second, how did they explain Rosco's absense? In Arrest Jesse Duke, they explained it as being Rosco in a police course in Atlanta.

It's the same explanation. He's still in Atlanta taking refresher courses. Sheriff Grady is the longest lasting replacement for Sheriff Roscoe in the whole series.

Wasn't Roseco taking some classes to be a better cop or something like that?

I like Grady he is no Roseco but he was funny though.

i like rosco wayyyyy better then sherrif grady!!!!! sherrif grady played darren on the show Bewitched. :D :D :D

Grady Byrd was a Night Watchman whom Boss promoted to Sheriff while Rosco was away at the Police Academy in Georgia on a refresher course. If anything, Dick Sargent was the closest who came to almost being a Rosco-Clone.
