I am wandering how do you get to chapter eight and where and what is Garrett doing while all of this going on, is he still in jail and would he be worried about his twin brother at all seeing how they didn't grow together or is he heartless and cruel.

At this point in my story, he has only met Uncle Jesse and that is while he is in jail and already upset and angry about the situation. So I really don't see where he comes across as being cruel and heartless at this point in the story.

I like it! I'd like to see more pictures, though. Looks like there's a lot of room to grow, and when I tested a few links, everything seemed to work well.

Flipping through the site, it reminded me that's it's been a looong time since we've done a fanfic challenge. I know your plate is pretty full so I'm not expecting you do get on board with it as a participant this time around. Lord knows, you barely squeaked by with that Bail Bond Challenge.

I'm thinking of a Halloween Challenge, since that gives us about six weeks to grind something out. What say?

Hmmm. It's always motivational when we have some skin in the game. Lessee, Halloween .... we could have a Ghost Post challenge.

It's real simple. Submit a story, or....become a ghost! (puts losing your badge in perspective, don't it!) Tho' instead of being a ghost for good, we'd simply have a temporary limbo of sorts imposed on whoever doesn't finish their story by the...."dead"line. Heh heh.

I'd say make the deadline (boo!) by the 28th, so you got time to post the stories and folks can read them to get into the Halloween spirit. (mmuwahahah!!)

I'm not one for dripping gore and dismemberment in a fic, so we wouldn't be looking for slash and hack type of stories. Spooky stuff, creepy stuff, or Halloween-themed shenanigans are fine. This could be one of those times where the ol' dream sequence scenario comes in handy.

MaryAnne, would you risk becoming a Depu-ghost ( temporarily! virtually! ) to enter this one?

It's already a little creepy, ain't it! Ya know, maybe this was a bad idea. Things are kinda busy right now in Atlanta. This Ghost Post challenge could get real inconvenient if ya missed the deadline. Being incorpreal and transparent and havin' to talk in italics all the time as if ya weren't really there, could really slow ya down. Granted it's only if ya miss the deadline (deadline! Gaaaah!) but ya gotta ask yerself if this trip is really necessary.

So if you turn this one down, or don't like the idea, that's awright! That's fine with me, s' okay, won't offend me at all....

Thanks for the green light. Don't worry, you'll hardly feel a thing. I figure you're already curious as heck to know how this little adventure is going to unfold. Muwahahaha!!

I got plenty of ideas on unfolding it, it's putting it back together at the end that I gotta be careful with. Kinda like folding up a road map after it's been completely opened. If you weren't paying attention on how you unfolded it in the first place, ya might never get that sucker to return to it's original state.

The 28th it is. Got that marked.

As far as the forfeit for missing the story deadline - I'm thinking of the following, for the victims - er, volunteers - who participate in this story challenge. Those who miss the deadline and become spookified will have to post in italics, and will also have a special avatar for the duration of their outta body experience. I'm also thinking that they'll be subject to "summoning", and if invoked to respond on a particular thread or topic, that they'll be obligated to "appear" and put a comment.

How long this goes on....yeah, I'm thinking a couple weeks would be enuff. Though we may have some silly ritual to un-spookify people. Which would involve them responding to a special Ghost Post and following the instructions within.

Hopefully at least one person survives this challenge and completes a story on time, so someone is around to bring the spookified folks back!

What if you started a story and havent finished it? Is this a case of....dont finish it you become a ghost or does the ghostification only apply to people who say right now they want to be in the challenge?

You gotta announce your intentions of taking part in the challenge in the special Ghost Post Challenge thread - which I haven't initated just yet as Brian and I were hammerin' out the finer details of our challenge.
