There's a Television Soundtrack CD? What songs are on it? I thought the only song there was is the theme song that Waylon Jenning sings.

The Waylon Jennings version is NOT on the CD. You would think it should be though.

It is more of a story CD told by song.....Actually not a bad CD. It is worth it just for Johnny Cash's "General Lee"

I love the song "Flash" :)

Do you find yourself driving faster to " In The Driver's Seat". That is one of my favorites.

A Little tip for anybody who didn't know it before, James Best never did make a country cd and also he is cousin of the Everly Brothers.

Possible dumb question:

It's found in the country music section of my favorite CD store, right?

Eddiemunster I was going to ask the same question. Which section do you find it in at a cd store?

Capt_Redneck

Probably will find it in the soundtrack section of any store....That is where I got mine at BestBuy......

Hope that helps

James Best Actually did make release a song in the 60's as a 45 record format or Vinyl under Jim Lindsey.

I got lucky getting it at Best Buy . I haven't seen it there in the last few months, but that section is always messed up anyway...

I found it online a couple years back, mp3s of the songs, and recreated the CD for myself. I'd have bought it except there's apparently not many places to find such an old album anymore. It's a lot of fun! My favorite songs are "General Lee", "In the Driver's Seat" (most fav at the moment), and "Down-Home American Girl", but they're all pretty good. My favorite I just mentioned is so... Dukes! Lol. So much of their personality there, and it sure don't hurt that John and Tom (he's harmony in the background; listen) are singing it.

I have the CD too, I really enjoy it. I'm not sure what store I got it at, but I did find it in the soundtrack section. I think the online stores would be your best bet for older music. I'd try Amazon.com or Buy.com.

I was listing to my DOH soundtrack and i was bored so i start to type.

I got one foot on the gas
I got one eye on the law
I got my mind on that pretty little gal I passed about a mile ago

There aint no way to can catch me
I got a car that can’t be beat
With a a-1 long gone white line outlaw
Seating in the drivers seat

I’m in the driver’s seat
I’m in the driver’s seat

I got one hand on the wheel
I got one long road ahead
I got pitty on you old Smokey that gotta try to case down johnny red

There aint on way to can catch me
I got a car that can’t be beat
With a a-1 long gone white line outlaw
Seating in the driver’s seat

I’m in the driver’s seat
I’m in the driver’s seat
I’m in the driver’s seat

I only know one way too live and that way is my way
And you can try to tam me if you must
But you’ll just keep me flying down that old highway
And all you’ll see of me is a big old cloud of dust
Yea

I got one foot on the gas
I got one eye on the law
I got my mind on that pretty little gal I passed about a mile ago

There aint no way to can catch me
I got a car that can’t be beat
With a a-1 long gone white line outlaw
Seating in the drivers seat

I’m in the driver’s seat

With a a-1 long gone white line outlaw
Seating in the drivers seat

I’m in the driver’s seat
I’m in the driver’s seat
I’m in the driver’s seat

It is a great album...I like pretty much all of the tracks on it. The song about Flash cracks me up!

In fact, I actually have two CDs of it...I listened to the first one so much, it began to skip so I got another one. LOL! It's great to listen to, especially if I am in a rut in my writing...it seems to help my writing too!

The TV soundtrack rocks! Flash is the best, I love the line "He's got wrinkles, but that's sexy though, ya know.... Go Flash Go!" I also like in the driver's seat!

I would absolutely LOVE the album, I've heard the sound-bites of it, BUT...

I'm not even sure it exists in New Zealand  , I can't seem to find it (then again, I might not be doing an awesome job of searching either... :) ). And it sounds like a really great album, fun too!

And I don't have a credit card or anything, so ordering off the internet is out of the question too :x

Anyway, is the Hazzard County Boys version of Good Ol Boys very good? And what about the full versions of the other ones? Like Them Good ol Boys are Bad, and the Ballad of General Lee...how about the Bonus track, "Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys"?

Amazing...

Someone found it for me, in the middle of a bunch of CD's at a Garage Sale!
She got it for me, and when I had a look at it it had, "AS IS" scribbled in small letters just under the price. It was sold "as is" because two of the tracks don't work properly  . "The General Lee" doesn't work at all, and "Down Home American Girl" plays for a little bit, and then does this really random sort of skippy thing. It sounds weird, because what it says after the skip doesn't match up to what it says before the skip, at all!

"Down Home American Girl" sounded pretty good, but what's "The General Lee" like, is it at all like the "The Ballad of The General Lee", or what?

I downloaded my songs originally from a webpage.
I really like your aviator.

Thanks, the hardest thing about making it was finding the Images for Bo and Luke! Which is why Luke has a weird expression on his face :-? ... well...it's easier to see on the bigger version. :)

What site was that? I just want to get those two songs, I feel like I'm missing out on half the story!

Well if it makes you feel any better, I remember being so mad when they switched from vinal to cd's. I didn't have that album, but I used to buy everything on vinal and then copy it on to a tape to take with me.
