My idea of who should play Daisy

I have an idea of who should be Daisy..Now don't trash me on this...

Gretchen Wilson - the woman who sings Redneck Woman..I know she is not an actress, but look at her and listen to her music.. Listen or read any interviews with her and then you might see what I mean. She has the attitude and the looks .

Everything I've heard so far, seems to indicate that Jessica's got it locked in. But at the same time, WB has been kinda cagey on the whole casting issue. We'll keep an ear to the wind, and listen for the buzz of the rumor mill.

I have been seeing the Redneck Woman video on CMT for a while now and after watching the Dukes DVD's , I still say she might make the perfect Daisy.

I just can't picture Jessica Simpson as Daisy. I don't know, but we all have to see how well the whole cast has chemistry together.

I would like to see a little or unknown actress who is intelligent with a killer set of legs and is brunett. There's probably only a 100,000 women in Hollywood that can fit that bill. But you're right, the chemistry of the cast is everything.

Did you ever watch wrestling? The old Georgia Championship Wrestling/NWA/WCW that was on WTBS? There was a wrestler named Dick Murdoch -Capt Redneck Dick Murdoch. He was one of my favorites, he past away in 97 . I always loved the name.

thanks Brian. ..He was an old school wrestler, always kept up that it is not fake. A larger than life character and always great for a story. Legend has it he told promoters when he was younger he played football for West Texas St. and convinced probably most everyone he did, even got invited to alumni games and such. Problem was , he never went to college. He could talk up something with the best of em'. Always kept it "real" , none of this behind the scenes stuff today, if you know what I mean....

Well now....To me just looking at Gretchen and listening to her interviews, I could picture her being Daisy, just my opinion mind you.

As far as Jessica Biel , I am not sure. But she grew up in Colorado and didn't you want all southerners to play the parts? Maybe I didn't read your posts right Sway , but thats what I got from em'....

Hey, man...im a new memeber to this site...and i have enjoyed reading..some of these...postings...and i have read alot of good ideas and i think that yours isn't the only good one but is one of the best ones ive read about Gretchen Wilson being Daisy Duke. I mean I agree with you completely. I mean im just not sure about Jessica Simson as Daisy. Some of the stuff I've heard about her...it just doesn't seem to fit. It just makes sense her bein Daisy. :D

And I do also think that Gretchen Wilson would be a perfect "wild" Daisy like she was in the 1st season of the Dukes. lol
