Fanfic Chat Schedule [Archive]

LadyD's comment about chats got me thinkin'....we haven't had a fanfic chat for like a million years! LOL

In the past, the Saturday around 8pm eastern (5 pacific) seems to work pretty well.

I'm gonna suggest we try for this Saturday the 27th startin' at 8pm. Also, let's try another chat on Wednesday the 31st startin' at 8pm. There's no closing hour...I figure the thing can go on until there's one person left standin' in the chat room. ROFL.

Don't worry if you can't make one or both chats. I wanna see how well these two chats go and perhaps we'll set up something on a more regular basis, and different time slots. Remember too..you can set a date and time for chat as well. =)

Whattya say folks? Wanna chat? LOL

Fanfic chat? Is this like...group therapy for writers? (sign me up!) Heh heh!

I think it's a great idea. Many of us have met in small chats of ones and twos, but it would be a lot of fun to mingle en masse. The more the merrier.

I may not be able to make Saturday's gig, but I'll shoot for Wednesday. (Though I'm naturally shy and reserved and may not have much to say.)

I like the idea too about group therapy for writers! Maybe y'all can help me deal with my crazy character's problems that I have her in right now! :lol:

Count me in, but I don't know what time I will be there this Saturday! I'm going bowling tonight with my husband! But I'll try to be on by 9:30 (Oklahoma/Central Time)!

hey count me in, i would like to chat with those i don't know yet! Brian, i have noticed that you tend to be goofy at times on the posts, i like it. I ai't chatted with you before, but, i can tell you one thing, if you are anything like me, you are just using goofing to cover of shyness... Thats what i do anyway. If i do somethign stupid during the chats, its either cause i am shy, or, i am nervous. LOL

but count me in!

Next Fanfic Chat tentatively scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 28 2002 at 8PM here at HNet in the Boar's Nest. :) Yes, that's the 28th...next Saturday, not tomorrow. LOL

The Wednesday after that, October 2, there'll be another fanfic chat at 8PM here at HNet also at the Boar's Nest.

I'm gonna try to schedule an AIM chat one of these nights too...LOL. Y'all stay tuned.

Hey y'all, I been wondering, could we have another chat sometime soon... but not before christmas! LOL I know y'all get busy. I was thinking either between christmas and new years, or after new years. I mean, we ain't had a chat since OCTOBER 2ND and its already DECEMBER 23RD! We could have it be like a celebration of something, u know like an after christmas party or a belated new year party a few days after the new year. Oh I dunno, but I just think it would be nice if we could all get together again and throw us one heck of a shindig. LOL. I only thought I would inquire about it, I mean, i think it should be left to MaryAnne, and brian to decide because I personally think they ahve the more busy scheduals. It would only be fair and it would more ensure they would make it and stuff if we decide to hold one. :) 8) :wink:

I can make Monday's and Wednesdays as well. My college schedule is Monday and Wednesday so work usually gives me those nights off. So anything on a Monday or Wednesday is great most of the time. The 8th sounds fine for me MaryAnne.

Well, I probably shoulda checked this before I went an announced a chat and I didn't. LOL. The chat functions weren't even uploaded, so I uploaded what I had on my computer here but, alas, it doesn't work. (***INSERT CHOICE WORDS HERE****)

So, considerin' this and the fact that I'm in the midst of the duel of the century, it looks like the chat will be postponed. If and when it's rescheduled it will probably take place on AIM until the chat here is fixed. The AIM chat will then be overseen by whoever is left standing after the duel....

Since everyone has AIM, why don't you just make an AIM chatroom and call it some duke name and invite people in or people invite themselves in.

Ive been thinkin some and I think its about time that the character community of Hazzard come back together once in while like we used to. Some of us dont get to see every one like we'd like, due to our incrediably busy scheduals.

So, I'd like to hold a chat on the 15th of every month on AIM...aol instant messenger. Authors, characters and guests are more then welcomed. Come, have fun, relax and enjoy a good time.

The first chat will be held on October 15th. Were looking at roughly starting at 6pm eastern time. Hope to see ALL of you there.

I don't know who all is still around, but for those who are, who wants to set up a nice old fashioned chat? I'm thinking Saturday 6/9/2007 at either seven or eight eastern, OR not next weekend but hte following weekend on either Friday or Saturday at one of those times. I have a job now that requires me to get up at like 5 am eastern, Monday to Friday so Sunday through Thursday I can't stay up late at all. I can't do next weekend because I'm visiting family.

Anyone Interested? MaryAnne? Brian? Chet? Daney? Val? Chance? Jax? Kristy (if you're still around)? Essy (If you're still around)? Vicky (If you're still around)? BL (Which by the way it's been nice being able to talk to you)? Anyone I haven't met such as mfn and those who i haven't met who came in while I was gone or left before I arrived and came back before I came back?

I live in Hawaii, so that is like a 6 hour time difference from the East Coast. I would actually be greatful for feedback and therapy as it is called in the first couple of posts (ROFL). Anytime since it is a 6 hour difference, let me know.

Last night was a blast. If anyone wants to do it again, we could aim for not this weekend coming up (i'm not available, viisting family), but the following weekend. I'm thinking either Friday or Saturday, probably Saturday, around the same times, probably 8 pm eastern. See who else shows up.

Don't forget friends, I'm requesting y'alls presence for a chat tonight that starts between seven and eight PM eastern! It's always lots of fun, and sometimes, ya get folks swinging from the chandaliers! LOL Just kidding, it hasn't been that exciting, but still pretty exciting. Don't worry, there will be plenty of Cool virtual refreshmetns and virtual snacks too. :popcorn: providing i don't eat them all LOL. ;)

I'm thinking we could start between seven and eight over in the Boars Nest. I just ask that y'all don't get virtually drunk or let your characters get drunk on virtual watered down alcohol. Don't need anyone getting in trouble with our friendly administrators, some of which I'm sure will be there (which believe you me, that just makes the party more of a party!). I'm inviting authors, characters, and the groupies, so be careful you don't get confused as to who you're talking to.

Well guys, I had a nice time last night. I have an idea for everyone. HOw about we start having a weekly chat again, like we used to. We can shoot for every Saturday around 8 p.m. eastern. That way, someone doesn't have to schedule it every week. I also think more poeople would be able to make it if we make it a regular occurance. Folks would be more likely to remember, and it would be easier to fit it into their busy schedules.

Any objections? And smart alick comments are welcome, just for a hoot.

Yeah I got a smark aleck comment: Figures more folks showed up after I left....

Seriously tho', I have no objections to trying to do a regular chat on Saturday nights. Maybe I'll actually see some of y'all. :deputy: :D

Sorry y'all. if there was a chat tonight that folks actualy showed up to, I wasn't around. Unfortunately, or fortunately, dependin' how you look at it, my boyfriend decided to hang out with the guys (and their girls) tonight, and I was invited to come along. He and the guys begged and pleaded until I went. We ended up hanging out and playing video games.
